For the price I didn't expect the quality to be this good and the brightness is better that I expected too. Its made of aluminum and its solid. Looks like it could last the test of time. Light quality is great too. Its bright enough to provide safety for use on the road and can illuminate whats a head of you. I wouldn't use it for night time mountain biking as it is not designed for that. You will need a more powerful light for night time trail riding but for street use and safety these lights are a 10. They come with extra straps and two micro usb cords for charging. I would definitely buy them again if I lose mine.

These lights better than anticipated considering the very reasonable price.,,,well machined aluminum housing and lens clear. Easily activated by simply compressing the light lens and toggle through the 4 options; steady, quick flash, slow flash or a progressive dim to bright flash. The lights charged quickly and start with a low red indicator shines thru the lens which shows green on full charge. The light mounts securely and is easily removed by way of the rubber stretch straps for recharging with included USB cord.,,,see photo for front light mounted next to my headlight, This is a bright strobe safety light which I highly recommend to my fellow early AM or Evening cyclists.

so far so good, several different light cycles (steady on, slow / fast flash, etc.), bright, great rechargeable feature, body is made of aluminum (not plastic), another nice feature is there is a small green light to indicate when charging is complete. front light does not have a 'visor' to block light coming to rider's eyes but I made one with a piece of black plastic and a zip tie, you could probably fashion something from duct tape too.

Everyone wants to be safe when riding a bike, that's why these lights are good. I've been riding them for a few months and so far I am completely satisfied. I use them on my road bike and have used them in both wet and dry weather. So far, that have held up well and almost look new! These lights are not for you to see while riding at night rather they are for you to BE SEEN by other road users. I'll go through the pros and cons.

Pros:
-Well priced
- rechargeable. Much better than the cheap blinkers that you have to replace when they die.
- multiple settings from solid light to flashing
-rubber strap fits well and doesn't scratch carbon fiber components
-good battery life. I can usually get a several long (2+ hour) rides in without recharging
- compact, doesn't require a ton of space to attach

Cons:
-straps are a little tight on 31.8 mm handlebars. Newer and more performance bikes use this diameter for their clamps. When attaching to handlebars with a 31.8 mm diameter, I had to stretch the rubber strap a bit.
- works best on round seatposts. Results may vary with a aero seatpost.

Overall this is a quality product. I will consider buying a second set when the blinker lights on my commuter bike wear out.

This is the one. These are the lights I always wanted that I see on other bikes, for making sure cars see me. I am half blind--can't even see cars, let alone bikes--when they are in the shadows or in the shade of trees, and yet I am able to pass the eye test to get my drivers license renewed. So with people like me on the roads, I want to make sure they all know I am on my bike. These Torch lights do just that. Even I can see them in the shadows a quarter mile away.

I had a cheaper brand for a while. They had only one little LED in them, and they weren't rechargeable so I was constantly using up little disc batteries. The Torch is rechargeable in your computer--so easy, and I never worry about power consumption any more. They are a snap to take off and put back on. My kid could do it. My dog could do it.

If I think real hard to come up with something to criticize--I don't even know if this is a valid criticism, but the white front light is twice as bright as the red tail light, so it has half the battery life of the tail light. I don't know why they did that. Maybe so you could use it as a headlight at night? Maybe the white light is harder to see during the day so it has to be twice as bright? I don't know. You just have to charge the white light more often than the red light.

I have not specifically measured the battery life, but they seem to run for the length of time described in the manual for each mode. If I find otherwise later on, I will edit this review.

I highly recommend these lights for use as safety lights. They look so cool, and I feel cool riding with them. Ok, that is dorky, so don't tell anyone I said that!

EDIT--After you buy the Torch Bolt lights from Mevell you will receive an email from them making sure everything is OK. Hang on to that email. My front light did in fact fall short of the 8-10 hour life listed in the online User Manual. I responded to that email with the problem and Mevell had a new light out to me in a couple of days. Their Customer Service department is one of the best I've ever seen. They will take care of you.
