Not all that shines is gold...Has Quality issues

Beware of the quality! I was enamored by the rave reviews and took a bite. I was disappointed. The portfolio overall looks good but there is some serious quality issues that will diminish the lifespan of this product. In the attached pic, you can see that the material has "bubbles" wherein the glue has not properly set-in. This will soon start to get worse with use. A good QA process would have caught this but looks like that's what is missing with this company!

So far I have no complaints about it. It arrived as quickly as expected and meets my expectations. This replaced an older portfolio of similar design which was falling apart. I use it to keep paperwork in a work van (service plumber) so it will certainly take a beating. I will provide an update if I become unsatisfied with its quality (e.g. falls apart) but so far I don't expect issues.
Leather exterior portfolio: good quality, just not what I was looking for.

I purchased this item thinking it was a full-grain leather portfolio, but it was a hybrid of a leather exterior bound to a synthetic backing. I was interested in a full-on leather product that had, at best, a synthetic liner. The product was of decent quality and if you are only looking for a portfolio that has a beautiful leather appearance, then I think you'd be satisfied. I ultimately returned the item, as it did not meet my requirements. I'll say that the owner, Jay, contacted me following the return of the portfolio and was very understanding regarding my decision. Apparently, he is trying to line-up a full-on leather portfolio to offer for sale. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company.

Initial impression is that this is a high quality portfolio. The outside is very soft material that feels good in hand. You can also tell the level of padding that protects, in my case, an Amazon Kindle. I am very pleased with the product and look forward to many years of service.

Very nice looking brown leather-looking carrier of papers with slots and compartments to hold cards, an iPad, pen and contains a pad of paper. Zippered and padded so looks secure against damage. I can now carry papers between home and work and they should come through unscathed.
