Using these for my studio with a small 4ch powered mixer. So far they fit my needs wonderfully. Sound quality is good. Don't ever intend to really drive these very hard so am expecting long life from them.

I bought these to replace a pair of 12" speakers when one suddenly quit working. I needed a pair fast and crossed my fingers ordering these because the price was right and I needed them right away.

I am pleasantly surprised by these speakers. They are very solid and well built. The molded handles make handling the speakers a breeze. They have mounting holes in the bottom and fit nicely on the speaker stands I have.

The sound is excellent for the size. They do not have quite the same mellow bass as the 12" speakers, but they are very acceptable, and I believe they have more volume at the same settings so they still fill a small room with sound.

I use them to play in retirement homes and senior centers often in a medium sized area to a larger cafeteria type setting and they do the job!

Also, I use a small folding wagon to transport my equipment, and these fit nicely in the space, so this is a bonus.

Every time I review Rockville products, I feel I have to say "regardless of the naysayers"¦."; and this is no exception. No, there's no comparing these to top, brand-name speakers. So if you go there, you probably will be disappointed in Rockville. However, for someone on a budget who just wants professional level speakers for semi-pro or amateur/hobbyist applications, this is an easy choice in my opinion.

I purchased these 8 inch speakers to replace the old Carvin 15" cabinet I had after the input jacks shorted out after over 25 years of use. I use the old Carvin amp I have to run them (an old FET450 which is also over a quarter century old). Ironically, the specifications of the amp more closely match the Rockville 8". I actually got these things cranking with that amp. For small, budget-level speakers, they sound pretty awesome. Being very small speakers, however, you really need a separate powered subwoofer to fully fill out the sound.

While I have no idea how long these will last, I didn't spend enough money on these to really worry about it. So again, if you just a small set of pa speakers, for an occasional DJ gig, house party, or small acoustic performance, you really can't wrong with these for the price.

Exceeded my expectations for such small, light weight speakers. Will definitely shop for Rockville again.
