Good for classic kurieg machine! A deal;)

Works!!! Used in my kurieg machine...I have the classic non- computer screen one so they are not rejected!!! Tried in a friend's new kurieg w/ the digital visuals screen & gave me a message like product not recognized by this model....trust me you will be pleasantly surprised w/ this one in the classic machine by kurieg....please the purple tab side of cup on left side indent when inserting into machine - fill w/ 2-3 tbsp of ground coffee or loose leaf tea!! Does great every time for me (full cup 3/4 or 2/3?full of you want to eyeball amount of coffee/tea); great bet!;) I don't write reviews unless I'm impressed w/ something I purchase & have tried multiple times.
If closed correctly, these work fine...almost...

I don't have the true blue K machine. I have a Hamilton Beach machine. The external recess on the bottom is insufficient and keeps the bottom of these k-cups from fully seating and puts unneeded pressure on the bottom piercing tube (possible deformation of the sharp point on the piercing tube possibly leading to premature failure of the tube) and this also causes the cup to "ride" up about .060". This positional error requires a small amount of additional pressure needed to close the assembly. AFTER READING NUMEROUS REVIEWS CONTAINING PROBLEMS with grinds getting through this k-cup and winding up in the coffee cup, I can offer the following: I used these cups with and without a paper filter; I filled the cup completely full and only half full {regular grind}; regardless of the combination, I had ZERO grinds in my cup. I DID HOWEVER CAREFULLY ENSURE THE THE LID WAS FULLY {COMPLETELY} SEATED. Those using only gentle finger pressure to close the lid will assuredly have grinds floating through the gap left from a lid that "looks" closed.
I will shop for a design that doesn't put pressure on the lower piercing tube otherwise I would be happy with this brand.

Meh. Smaller than regular K-cups with dents in side for prong fittings. These have no dent in bottom sides; they are shorter than the prongs & you cannot put as much coffee in them. Makes the cup weaker. Ok if you don't like stronger coffee. If you gently tamp coffee down, it makes it take much longer to brew & then tastes burnt. Great value for many that are really too small. I'll have to reorder the old ones.

I LOVE these refillable cups. I confess I am particular about my coffee and with these cups, I can use my own coffee preference instead of buying the pre-measured kcups. Its super easy to put a scoop of coffee in (want stronger? Put more in the cup) I make a week's worth at a time and clean them out for the next week. They wash great in the dishwasher (I use a mesh bag) and will save you a ton of money for very little extra effort.
