Great idea for colored pencils

My daughter had been begging for these things forever. She loves them for taking notes at school and doodling. She has to keep track of them though because her friends really like them too :) I love them for their ease. No more finding a sharpener and hoping that the lead doesn't fall out again!
Everything good about the Clearpoint, but it's even more useful to artists. Also they come in trans flag colors

It's my opinion that the Paper Mate Clearpoint is the best pencil for sketching and construction. Pink and blue are also my favorite colors. So you can imagine my reaction when I saw these beautiful boys.
These take everything good about the Clearpoint, and makes it colorful. This isn't purely aesthetic either, their great for distinguishing parts of your construction lines, and having a lighter distinguished tone to contrast with more refined sketching with your normal Clearpoint or Clearpoint Elite (which you should have, and if you don't, buy it now) before you move on to inking.
On top of that, the Clearpoint's jumbo eraser is the best, cleanest, and most pleasant to use eraser I've ever had.
Of course, it's also fun to sketch in colors, and even the pencils themselves look absolutely adorable.
As for the natural superiority of the Clearpoint pencils in general, the grip is superb and doesn't feel like you're crushing your fingers together with a hydraulic press when you draw for too long (and it fits me extremely well personally). Once you get used to the side mounted clicky button thing that advances the lead or whatever, you cannot go back to the dumb butt-end clicky button thing that advances the lead or whatever.
In all seriousness I bought a Graphgear 500, and it simply doesn't compare with the Clearpoint (and the eraser sucked balls!)
My only criticism is that the pink isn't as intense as I would like, but the blue is very saturated. However if you press down a bit harder than I naturally do you'll get an intense shade of pink.
TL;DR, the best colored pencil. the best eraser. the best model of pencil. get it in pink, because pink is the best color and if you don't agree we can fight each other behind that gas station store 3 miles from here at 2:00 pm, i will wreck you

Excellent for engineering students

I'm excessively orderly and fussy when it comes to doing homework and practice problems. Being able to use different colors for different things (i.e. red for forces, blue for dimensions, green for external factors that need to be taken into consideration) helps tremendously. The colors aren't as vivid as what you get when using ink pens or extra fine point Sharpies (which is what I prefer to use); on the other hand, you don't have to worry about ink smearing or bleeding through the paper, and sometimes that's more important.
Just not doing it

Half the colors are really too faint when used with normal writing pressure. More pressure does make them brighter, but like all mechanical pencil leads they break if you look at them for too long. If the lead was a little softer, so you could have a bold stroke with typical use, these would be great. As it is, too much force is needed for the leads to withstand on three colors so you're really only getting three usable pencils for this price.
Better than some, not great.

I need colored lead for a mechanical pencil, for grading a lot of math homework. These are better than some, but still not very strong. Plus I don't want ugly red and blue, but have to buy to get the green. Bought another package with pink and orange that don't really work for me, but that package has the purple I need.
