Excellent speaker mic. Audio quality of the speaker is really good and also works well with an ear piece. I bought this to use on a BaoFeng as part of a base set-up. People can't believe I'm on a BaoFeng, but also a hand held mic. I get great audio reports. Blows my Yaesu speaker mic out of the water.

I like the mic itself. It is made good but i dont like how easy it is to pull out. It should be harder to pull out of the jacks so if you have to stretch it over the shoulder it still stays. It seems to stop working a lot. We were talking and it cut out and all making it dangerous for what we had the radios for cause of lack of communication. But when we use these in our vehicles it works ok since it dont come part way out. I had better ones that were difficult to pull out and i might have to buy new set.

Commercial quality hand/speaker mike. Works good with my Baofeng UV5R ham HT. Speaker sound is good. Mike transmit volume is down some which is not unusual. I have not found a way to increase the mike volume on the HT, so I talk louder. If the newer model; Baofeng could be switched over to wide FM, that would probably help. Make sure you push the HT mike plug all the way in or the radio will malfunction. It is a stiff fit. Overall, good value and great for monitoring.

Really like this mic, well built works well, what I don't like is the ear piece plugs into the mic itself thus you have all these wires hanging around your neck. Have been using the mic by it self which means if the volume is to high everyone around you can hear the transmissions. If you don't care that others can hear your radio traffic, this is a great little mic but I work a plain clothes assignment and don't need the rest of the world hearing our radio traffic.

I bought Two of these Commountain Handheld Speaker Mics to use on my 2 new Baofeng BF-F8HP hand held radios. My son bought two Baofeng 5 Watt Radio kits that came with handheld Speaker mics ( NOT Commountain) and other extras but they were very low volume and lots of static So of course since he was going out to the desert with friends he "borrowed" my two speaker mics from Commountain that I had just received. And upon his return, raved about how well the Commountain speaker mics worked and would I let him keep them since they worked GREAT! I agreed and went to Amazon to order two more and they were shipped FAST and I was able to use these on my Baofeng 8 watt BF-F8HP radios on a trip to the mountains with my Jeep friends. They were all impressed with the Commountain hand held speaker mics as to the volume and clarity of the speaker and the clear transmitted voice from the mics, and some were going to replace their other MFG speaker mics when we got back since they were impressed with the Commountain Speaker mics. I would not hesitate to get these for any of the hand held radios listed and other Commountain Speaker mics available on Amazon if your radio is not listed on this page. I also contacted Commountain Customer Service through Amazon and their response was quick and my question was answered, THANK YOU Lynn! There are higher priced hand speaker mics on Amazon and else ware, But these WORK GREAT and are reasonably priced, TRY THEM if you are unhappy with your current speaker mics and see the difference in sound quality and you will agree!
