This was our second try at a mouthguard this season, and I'm glad I went with it. It fit my 8yr Olds mouth better than what we had and he didn't hate having it in to play games and practice. I did not shape it to his mouth bc of fear of ruining it so I can't rate that but overall our guy was able to use it and didn't complain.

I've been using this model shock doctor since I was 13 and they still continue to keep the great product rolling. Received it today pulled it from the packaging and fitted it right away stays in my mouth while I run with mouth open can drink water with it in. The directions were clear, easy to follow, and in the end, we had a mouth guard that fit! Fortunately, we haven't tested how well it works, since nobody has kicked my son in the mouth, yet. He did get kicked in the forehead, which left a nasty bruise and bump, but we can't blame that on the mouth guard. Rugby is a nasty sport, and I'm assuming that we'll get to test out the mouth guard soon enough. Not too many career rugby players still have all of their teeth.

My son is 10 but is 5'4 and is built like a linebacker so I wasn't sure how the youth size would fit but it was perfect after the fitting. The fitting process seems a little intense for a mouthguard but isn't hard to follow and we only had to do it once. He loves it, super comfortable. He uses this one for wrestling. Also has anoth Shock Doctor mouth guard for football, full mouth, and loves it too
