My elodea came quickly and alive. It has actually grown roots and off shoots in the first week I had them. I have had them for about three weeks now and none of them died. It's a great product. I gave it a 4/5 because it was clamped together at the bottom using a strip of lead so that's not great, but I totally would buy again and will recommend to friends.

Plants were beautiful and looks great in the aquarium for the baby guppies to hide in. Be careful when you order live plants. Rinse them well, or you will have snails take over your aquarium.

As the ad states "not recommended to purchase in cold weather"! Even though you put a heat pack in, most of the Anacharis was frozen. But there was enough to make a nice decoration. It is growing fast and doing well!

It took a LONG time to arrive.
It was in an ENVELOPE in a plastic bag.
It had a nice "closure" of lead strip and foam for the bunch.
However, I order elodea from another science supplier regularly for the lab, this was a "personal purchase" and it arrives vibrantly green in a bag in a box.
This is.....anemic in color to be complimentary.
When it is anemic it is ...ummm DEAD.
Now it "might" be argued that the temperature nationwide was COLD, but I have received, for the laboratory, healthy plants in similar weather.
Of the whole number of strands there is possibly one fifth that is relatively alive.
THIS MAY BE FINE if it is being used for "feeding herbivores".
I was going to put some of into a "stock tank" to raise it and that won't happen unless it really takes off.
I was also going to put a small amount into a new Betta tank and it will be ok for that, but then, so would some vibrant, green and ALL growing strands.

I added this plant too three separate tanks.Two of these tanks already have anarchis and are doing fine.Sadly the ones I bought from here melted in a couple of days.According to these reviews it's either a hit or miss.For me it was a miss.
