Flow is key.
Patricia Costales•January 31, 2018
This unit does well at controling pressure. It has better flow that the small fixed regulators but its flow rate is significantly less than the similar Watts units. I tested 2 small fixed pressure regulators. One had a discharge orafice 5/16" diameter and it regulated 45 psi and had a flow of 6.17 gpm, the other had a 7/64" orafice diameter and regulated 50 psi with a flow rate of 5.79 gpm. A similar (but sigificantly more expensive) Watts regulator had a flow rate of 7.56 gpm. The Renator had a flow rate of 6.51 gpm. In an RV the flow is critical. The watts has the best flow (by 16%) but cost almost twice as much. The Rentor has slightly more flow (5.5%) than the 7/64" fixed and 12.4% greater flow than the 5/16" fixed regulator.
This is a great Product and Excellent customer service!

Works ok but changes settings constantly, so I have to keep manually resetting it at same site. Update: After Renator contacted me they sent me a new product. I have hooked up the new one that they sent me and it works Perfectly. What a great customer service company!
Product update !

Update to previous review.
I want to give a shout out to the manufacturer Cartlee. Let it be noted I never contacted the company about my issue. They contacted ME!. During the HOLIDAY'S!. Taking the time from their family to rectify the issue I was having and went out of their way to promptly get me up and going.
This is truly a quality product that I was very happy with until failure. It does what it's supposed to do and the fluid filled pressure gauge is a bonus.
In a perfect world everything you purchase would last forever but I know even quality products can have problems at times. What makes the difference between the have and the have not's is the customer service that follows your purchase. This product and the company is top shelf in my book and deserves the updated rating.
Previous review:
Purchased from Amazon in May and based upon reviews and description of product this seemed like the one to get for my needs.
First time I used it worked as advertised. Bumped it up to 50 psi and worked like a charm on the RV. This week, second time out, noticed leak at fitting behind commode third day into trip and had to turn water off to troubleshoot. YIKES! Thank goodness I bought one with a gauge. This thing was pegged at 90 psi. No wonder I had a leak and lucky didn't pop a line. Backed off regulator screw all the way and the lowest pressure I could get was 68 psi. Had high hopes but it's a shame it didn't last long.

Not what I had hoped for.

I bought this regulator after checking all of the reviews. I thought it would probably be the best one with the highest quality for the money. Unfortunately, it quit working after about 2 weeks. I can no longer make any adjustments to the pressure either up or down. No matter which way I turn the adjustment screw, it will not change from 30 pounds per square inch. For the first two weeks I was able to get it to adjust, but I did notice it would not hold the pressure I selected for very long. It kept going from my setting of 45 lb to 60 pounds per square inch. After moving to the second RV park we were camping at, it no longer will adjust. Since I am now outside of my 30-day return period, I will have to deal with the manufacturer to get it repaired or replaced. I don't recommend this particular regulator.
After reading this review, the seller wrote me and apologized for the defective produce. They offered to send a new regulator at no charge. I have received the new regulator and it seems to work just fine. That is what I call customer service. I have revised this rating to reflect their concern, and great customer service. Thanks!

REGULATOR cannot give you MORE pressure than your source.

Excellent product. Well Made. Works beautifully.
Pressure initially set to 45 pounds at the factory. When I used it the first time, it only showed 42 pounds. I tried to raise the pressure higher using the screw adjustment, but the pressure wouldn't go higher. I realized the pressure at the source I was using was only 42 pounds.
MADE ME THINK. I had turned the adjustment screw several rotations trying to get the pressure higher. If I leave it there when I disconnect, I could potentially get a major surge at the next source. SO, I turned the adjustment screw in the "lowering" direction until it started to lower the pressure on the gauge. Then brought it up again until the needle in the gauge stopped moving.
Maybe it is in the directions, which I didn't read. Probably should have.
