Great product. Taste is good.

Great product. Taste is good. I like all three flavors. Good balance of electrolytes and easy metabolic absorption.
Wish they had caps or make in 30 calorie versions. These can get messy in back pocket while cycling, if they squish out/drip. During endurance biking, 30 calories every 30 minutes is an optimum consumption amount for most riders. I.e. consuming 1/3 of one gel every 30 minutes.

Tastes great and is a great companion to a long workout!

We got the apple flavour and it tastes great! My husband and I both used this, it seemed to work better for him than it did with me.
Performance - My husband does more cardio based workouts and he said that he was able to push that extra mile and go longer when he replenished with the energy gel. I'm a climber, so I do more slow, heavy movements and I didn't really feel that much of a boost, although it was a great alternative to water.
Consistency - Good texture, nothing weird or anything like that. Love that it's thick enough to not be messy but not too thick that it's almost solid and gross.

You'll have to carry a backpack full of these for long events.

Having used almost every energy gel product out there, I was anxious to try SiS Energy Gel over the course of a few 2 hour + training rides that I was putting in for some upcoming endurance events (I always try new products in training settings before trusting them enough for a race). I found the taste of the lemon & lime to be neither lemon nor lime, sort of a bland citrus like flavor, which wasn't horrible, it just didn't wow me. To be fair, most energy gels don't taste all that great anyway. The consistency is true to how they describe it, more of a liquid rather than a gel, so it actually empties out of the sachet rather than having to squeeze it out, like with other brands. This makes it a little easier to actually get in the mouth rather than all over your hands (and gloves, and shift levers, etc). The main thing I do not like is the low calorie count, about 80 calories per sachet. For a 3 or 4 hour event, I would need to stuff my pockets with these if I were going to rely on them as my main energy source. I am looking forward to trying some of the other flavors, especially the ones that have caffeine.

Rock n Roll marathon was giving this to runners on the course, so I tried it on a whim having tried other energy gels. Now, I did make a mistake of not using this on a training run (although I did taste it before the race). The caloric intake is low on these compared to GUs and they have little to no sodium in it. I cramped like crazy and I can't help but attribute it to this stuff. I have used Clif Shots/GU/Hammer Perpetuem/Tailwind and they all contain more sodium than this thing. The only positive of SiS gels are that I did not need to hydrate myself compared to GUs, but seems like water was abundant throughout the course, so itwas kind of pointless. Also, the lemon flavor tastes fine albeit little starchy.
I love these gels!

First of all, I absolutely hate gu's. I hate the texture, and can't stand chewing and trying to swallow them during my long runs. Then I was introduced to SIS's isotonic gels. GAME CHANGER! The texture is like melted jello. So easy to take down before or during a long run. And no water is needed! I particularly love the lemon mint flavor because there are extra electrolytes. Plus it tastes like Sprite! The flavor is very neutral and not overpowering like other types of fuel I've tried. It gave me the fuel I needed and it didn't give me any nausea or indigestion. I also really love the flavors with caffeine which gave me that extra boost during my longest runs.
