First, to the Amazon Customer who didn't see or couldn't find the weight specifications, it was there because it is the very reason I chose the EV Rider over all others. I needed to know that I could handle it by myself without my husband's help. We are both retired, I have a heart condition and have to be careful, and I really did not want to take all of his leisure time following me around when I needed to go somewhere. It gave me back my outside, on-the-go life that I was used to before age caught up with me. It rides, closed, behind the driver's seat in my minivan and I can lift it out by myself and I'm in my 70s. The weight in the description was 44 to 45 lb with the battery and the fact that it folds up without the key is wonderful. The remote is on my car key ring so I have it with me wherever I go, doctor's appointments, shopping, restaurants and more.

This unit is poorly designed. It will not clear door jambs and with only one wheel in front is not easy to steer. I bought one to replace my early version of evrider that I was most and still are pleased with. Be wary of the 30 day return policy on this unit and no warranty. The battery replacement is over $500 and the battery that comes with it has to be charged weekly or it will have to be replaced. Sorry piece of equipment.

I saw a couple less-than positive reviews here that had to come from people who can't be made happy by anything. This chair has changed my mother's life for the better. Essentially unable to move or leave the house she is now going out to lunch with friends again. My 75 year old father can lift the chair into his small trunk with no issues.
I had one small problem with the chair and contacted the seller. Not only did they help immediately, they put me in touch with the inventor of the chair to make sure I was taken care of. Instead of not knowing what to do and having to send the chair back, the problem was resolved in 15 mins. I don't write reviews EVER, but these people were all so helpful that I felt I owed them at least a good review.

This little scooter is fabulous. Push a button and it unfolds, push the other it folds up to look like a suitcase. When folded, it moves about like a wheeled suitcase. Pick it up and put it in the trunk. Great for the store and mall and other places where there are smooth surfaces. We look forward to traveling on planes and cruise ships again with this scooter. Haven't figured out how to put a cup carrier or basket on it yet but will figure it out.
