I had bought this with the intention of possibly returning it if it was mediocre--there weren't many reviews and it wasn't a well known company. Now I want to buy another!!! The bottom compartment is deceptively deep-if you remove the partition wall you'll actually see it's a changing pad, and reveals a deep compartment. The wind and rain shield works out great, but it DOES sit atop your child's head if you don't have it adjusted right. I couldn't figure out the kickstand necessity until I tried to put my toddler in it and then put the backpack on-then you see exactly why it's there. This is rugged, great quality, and a LOT of little things are thought of (the straps are elastic so you can easily hook the hip level one, the side pockets are accessible without this yogi level reaching, the stirrups prevent kidney kicks, the deep pocket can be hidden with the diaper changing pad so little fingers don't get your adult beverages, etc. Incredible product.

Works great! My 1.5 year old son loves being in it, and he fits well (And i have pretty big babies). The only annoying thing is its hard to get adjusted to where the weight feels correctly distributed (though that's probably the case with all of these types of back packs), and also when the sheild thing is up, my head kind bumps into it with every step. But that may be because of how i adjusted everything, I'm not sure.
Overall very high quality material and very effective! Wouldn't be able to carry around a 1.5 year old any other way. I am happy I went with this cheaper option rather than those super spendy ones, because this works more than well enough for me.

This backpack is a great buy for its price. We have used it almost everyday since my grandson was about 5 months old. There are a lot of adjustments you can use, tons of pockets and storage areas, a sun hood, and a rain shield! When we received it it did not come with instructions and was missing a stirrup (you don't need the stirrups anyway). We were contacted by the seller to see if we were satisfied with the back pack and I emailed back that we loved it but it didn't come with any instructions and was missing a stirrup. The seller was very quick to respond and sent instructions out immediately via email and gave me a $50 refund for the missing stirrup. Communicating with the seller was very easy and fast. This back pack is well worth the money especially when baby backpacks like this one (like from LLBean) are two to three times as much money. If you've been backpacking before you can figure out the straps and adjustments without instructions.

Really awesome carrier. I have a hard time with my baby and her nap time, but this carrier puts her to sleep in no time. She loves the scenery and it's very comfortable. We wore it on a camping trip and it felt great. There is a lot of adjustment straps so you need to adjust everything to get the right feel for the baby and your back. That was a plus for me because my 1yr Old is 25 lbs, the crotch area is well padded for her and even that has 2 adjustment straps. A lot of padding for her head to rest on. The harness is soft and padded for her neck. Love the insulated pocket for her milk. The only thing I would change is the kickstand. You HAVE to manually close it BEFORE you put it on. You can't just grab the leg behind you and shut it. It has two side buttons that need to be pressed. Overall, a great sleek carrier. I'm not to fond of a lot of crazy color and visual straps everywhere. This gray and black looks rad. The aluminum matches our stroller too. Great buy.

This baby backpack worked great for our vacation. We never traveled long distances with the pack so can't comment about its comfort for oing distance hikes but it did seem to have as many or more adjustments than my internal frame pack so I think you could find a sweet spot for covering some distance.
What this was great for us having a portable device to carry our one year old on terrain where no stroller would go or it be unsafe to carry him by hand. He was a bit grumpy grunt in but he does that for every baby carrying device, but once in he appeared to love it.
The only thing we couldn't greet him to use were the stirups. Some more adjustments on our part might have helped here or having a more cooperative subject probably would have helped.
All in all we would buy again!
