I had some difficulty finding a sizing guide. Lots of people in the Q&A direct you to Troxel's website, where I found a measuring guide but not how that translated into the S,M,L sizes you actually order. Ordered M on a hunch, thankfully it fits. For anyone else, I hope my attached photo and review headline helps.
Outside of that difficulty, it's a nice helmet. There's foldover flaps inside to help with side-to-side fit. The chinstrap is very adjustable. Feels snug & comfy while allowing for ventilation.

Ordered a x- small for my 6 year old and it fit perfectly. There is an adjustable piece inside the helmet and an adjustable chin strap. There is padding inside the helmet as well. The back of the helmet goes down past the base of the head.

The visor provides shade but isn't too big and the color scheme is girlie, yet, grown up. We are very happy!
