I took a chance on this item because I knew that for the price it was really cheap to get a good quality solid brass item for that price.
The Y adapter itself seems OK--the on/off valves are pretty tight. But unfortunately, everything else about this product is cheap.
The two manufacturer seals on the product box were already cut and the heavy contents had fallen out and banged around all inside of the shipping box--these brass items are rather heavy and it banged against two of my other items in the same box. A simple quality check on the part of Amazon packagers would have prevented this item from ever being shipped but of course, that did not happen. I suspect this item had already been returned before--the two seals had been cut, not torn, so it did not happen on its own during shipping.
One of the rubber washers for the elbows was missing--nowhere to be found.
The worst part of all is the horrible casting job on one of the elbows--just plain horrible. There are several gaps and cracks in the edge of the fitting and one of them goes all the way through the part, which would eventually start leaking, even if it didn't right out of the box. I didn't even bother connecting any of this garbage to a water hose. It's just plain garbage. See the product photos. I added red arrows to illustrate the crack that runs all the way through the fitting. Just shameful that garbage like this makes it through (presumed) numerous QA checks and all the way to my home.

These have worked well for us, I am guessing we've had them on the splitter/ hoses for 2 months with no problems. I do occasionally tighten them back since we are tugging hoses to and fro and they do at times loosen up a bit. We are satisfied with them and certainly will buy more when we need them for another faucet or to attach more hoses to another. They were cheaper than our local (which is not so darn local) big box store and I did not even have to go to the store. Happy camper.

I love these quick couplers.
But only after I noticed that they were quite difficult to disconnect, then realized that they would be much improved by removing the black plastic ring, on the six male pieces.
The ring is not needed (I use pliers to put the male pieces on the nozzles, etc, since they will be almost permanent and need to stay tight.) and is very much in the way, making disconnecting the hoses, or appliances, using the quick couplers, very difficult.

Quick connect function works, shiny & polished & well cut to interlock easily. However, it does not stop water flow when changing between connections. I did not realize this or I would have opted for a variety that has a shut off when disconnectING the male & female. I need this for switching between a sprayer & a soaker hose, so it looks like I am going to find a female part with shut off option so I can swap between connections without getting sprayed or bending the hose as shut off. Also, these could use some rubber o-rings, they are not fully leak proof when sitting at the end of the hose with a sprayer attachment that has water turned on, despite both connections being secured, it seems this needed to include some plumbing tape and o-rings to truly meet the "no leaks" claim.

After having to return two sets of quick connects from Home Depot because they wouldn't "connect" I decided to give online a try. These were far better quality, they fit together cleanly and easily. The springs are robust and they just got together effortlessly. Came with a few washers too.
I've used all but one of the male connects so i just might have to get another set!
