Key features

  • Absolutely go for 100% UHMWPE Cord when you need a cord of highest strength but in lightest weight. UHMWPE fiber (UHMWPE is known as different names, like dyneema, spectra by different manufacturers), yields highest strength in lightest weight, 15 times stronger than steel by weight ratio. Excellent choice for a wide variety of heavy duty applications, giant kite flying, bear bagging, climbing or rigging accessories, survival, emergency, hunting, boating, etc.
  • LEAST STRETCH! Stretch annoys much in hauling, rigging and other applications, like kite flying. UHMWPE almost has no stretch under working load. This feature really does a great help in saving labors. In kite flying control, it makes the sensitive response and better kite control.
  • TANGLE RESIST! Smooth to touch, slick to move on most surface and stiff. These features make cord less tangle prone. No more tangling trouble during use and organization. We also have cord wound in a spool to help well organize.
  • LONG WEAR LIFE! UHMWPE is capable to resist intense abrasion and wear during use. With firm and solid braid, our UHMWPE cord has a long service life for you!
  • TOUGH IN WILD LIFE! You can only carry a limited amount of gears outdoors. You need one which is versatile, flexible and tough enough to fight against brutal environment. With low moisture absorbency, resistance to most chemicals, to UV, to severe abrasion and wear, our high tensile UHMWPE cord is your great help in outdoor life and you'll find a great deal of applications out of it.

great for making climbing stick daisy chains
3mm review

Ive used up my 100 feet of 3mm dyneema. To me it is a cross between Amsteel SK78 and Marlow Ropes SK99. Closer to the original SK90, which I've also found will flake and turn a lighter grey, but to a much lesser extent than this line. That is my only complaint as otherwise it acts like a heat set dyneema (which is NOT as soft as the standard Amsteel SK78). It has held up fine everywhere I have used it. It isn't my first choice for soft shackles or above deck applications because of the tendency to shed but its still quality line. FYI, raw dyneema is not mean to be used in a cleat on a sail boat, so if that is your intention, please learn a bit about rigging.
Not black but instead slate gray

This cord is 50% lighter than paracord. The picture looks black and black s what i wanted but it is actually a slate grey color. It will still blend well in camo color scemes. It does melt with a lighter but not cleanly or quickly. Typicaly one would tie a knot in the end or burn the end after working with the cordage but, this rope begins to unfray far too easily. I was sewing small loops of this cordage to a water bladder cover that i made, and in places the rope lost its tight weave just from handling it. I have included a picture of the loose weave.
All in all i am happy with this rope. It is wicked strong, light and has a smaller profile to fit in my pack for such things as ridgelines and other outdoor applications. This rope may be a little bit high-maintenance when compaired to paracord but its other features make it worth buying anyway.
Makes perfect soft shackles

As a tugboat captain I have come to regard Amsteel, Spectra, or Dyneema as the industry standard in HMPE rope, so I was leary buying a product made in China. I have not yet tested the strength, but I can say that the 4.5mm size makes perfect soft shackles. I usually don't write reviews, but I read one where someone attempted to make a whoopie-sling, failed miserably, and blamed it on the rope. Perhaps it was a different size. As a highly experienced rigger I was very pleased with how easy this line is to work with. My only disappointment is it looses the "luster" that good HMPE has and develops an ashy gray appearance with very little use. I am curious if this effects it's breaking strength, as I don't want to give one of my shackles to an arborist until I'm sure that the 5500lb tensile strength is legit....the only reason I didn't give it a 5th star.
Not exactly what I needes

I ordered this thinking it was a little bit larger and it turned out being much smaller than what I expected but it wasn't the products fault.
Not as easy to tie into a whoopie sling like dynema but all in all still a good product!
