Needed the extra length.
The SAE side of the adapter was VERY TIGHT when I tried to plug it into the 12vdc cable on my new 2017 Harley Davidson Road King

I kept working with the connection for about 15 minutes and finally got it together. Some engineers call this "exercising the connection". Nothing I ever used to connect to my Harley nor my Gerbing heated jacket liner has given me this much grief.
Perhaps their engineers thought these tight tolerances were important so that it didn't come apart while riding. But I don't agree that there is a requirement for that. Dear product engineer, do a dimensional analysis of the SAE fitting your are trying to fit into and come up with a some dimensions for your product that are NOT so damn tight.
If if wasn't meant to be used on a Harley, then say so in your product description.
It works now, but it was because of me trying to not waste my money by throwing it in the garbage.

I thought this would allow me to use the SAE plug from my trickle charger to power the heated visor on my Snowmobile helmet. It is the wrong plug.
