Eager to use it

I am intrigued to use this spice mixture. I haven't had a chance to use it just yet. I am wondering about the taste of hyssop as most zaatar mixtures substitute thyme instead, giving the excuse that the wild herb is no longer available. It does smell quite interesting.

This stuff is great. Packaged in a high quality, heavy and dark zip-lock bag. It is fresh, slightly moist (not powdery) and has a really nice herbal scent. Great on a tomato-cucumber-onion-olive salad with feta cheese and olive oil and lemon juice. I'll likely use it on meats, too. I'm new to hyssop, and it is similar to thyme, but different. Just really, really nice. Not spicy, just savory, and highly recommended.

We love middle eastern food and particularly the appetizers (mezze). I make my own labane (cheese spread made of yogurt) and always use zaatar when serving it or dipping pita bread in olive oil and zaatar. So far the zaatar I've been using was ok, but after buying this Spice Way's zaatar I see the major difference in quality !! This one is so fresh and tastes delicious, and I'm so glad I found it!!! I will definitely order more from them when I run out! I highly recommend it!!
