Sturdy, easy to assemble, and a perfect solution to limited space!

After much research, I ordered two of these for a small room I was converting to a second bedroom. Space was limited, but I had still wanted some sort of nightstands and lamps on either side of the bed. I actually have one of these in the darker wood in my own bedroom upstairs, and have loved it and never had any problems with it, so I finally decided they would also be perfect for the limited space in my guest bedroom. I am a 60-year-old woman with some mechanical ability. It took me just under an hour to put the first one together, from opening the box and sorting through parts while enjoying a glass of wine, to tightening the last screw, inserting the bulb and turning it on. The instructions are very confusing, of course, but it's all still pretty basic if you can just refer to the diagrams. Second one took me less than 35 minutes and a second glass of wine, with just a few glances again at the instructions. The natural wood color is beautiful, and I'm very happy with them. The box arrived undamaged, all the pieces were in good shape, and everything fit together well. I would definitely recommend these lamps to a friend.
Quality seems right for the price. Not cheap, but not fancy. Just right.

This lamp looks nice, the paper glows nicely and doesn't shine directly below - there's paper below the lamp as well as on all sides (but none above). It does need to be assembled, but it's pretty straightforward - easier than IKEA. The cable can be routed nicely with the little clips that come with it. I use a few pieces from the sticky foam pad to make it so those clips don't slide down.

I ordered this to use as a combo nightstand/lamp in a small room with limited space for furniture because of a radiator. It was easy to put together and it fit perfectly. The light is not overwhelming (perfect for a nightstand light) and it feels sturdy -- especially given the reasonable price.
Update: I've now had this for about 2 weeks and I definitely love it. There are two reasonably-usable shelves (the one at the base is really low for access while in bed.) Worth it!

Seems like I'm the only one that had some issues with parts and QC(Quality Control). First, and MOST annoying, was the fact that when I got to attaching the final piece, the bottom shelf, to the stiles, I discovered that the remaining 4 screws were too short! As there were only 8 supplied and the other 4 were already in use, it's not like I grabbed the "wrong four!" I had to make a H.Depot run to purchase 4, 1 1/4" screws in order to have enough length to get it to attach. Yes, I know, not a major expense but still a PIA and not at all convenient. Grrrrrrrr....How is it nobody else had this problem??? Machine settings were off the day ours was made?!?! QC issues: ill fitting sides/corners(not flush), here and there. Had a heck-of-a-time getting the darn light shade panels to stay in their tracks. Kept popping out and off as they were just not fitting properly. End-stage tweaking corrected most of the problem...with the shades, that is...not the corners. The next is purely an aesthetic: Sure would have been nice if that butt-ugly wing-nut used to secure the light assembly was 1. Finished black and 2. Smaller, less obtrusive. Being unfinished and largish sure makes it stand out like a sore thumb. Will have to paint and/or replace with something else. Again, like I said, an aesthetic but I'm one of those consumers that pays close attention to thoughtful detail and I found that one lacking. Overall, at this price point though, I guess it's a trade-off considering the prices elsewhere(online and physical) ranged from $89-$149 for what appeared to be the same style/looking lamp. So, for $60 bucks it was worth it. Besides, this is going in our little home theater room where the subdued lighting and "distance from" makes this "ok-lamp" look great! :)

This lamp is exactly what I was looking for at a fraction of the price in lighting stores. However! A few warnings. I comes disassembled in a box (although Hubby had it together in a blink). I'm using it in my office at work to light a dark corner and it sits back in the corner great. If it were in, say, a family setting with a lot of traffic and running around it might not last as it's pretty lightweight. And NOTE.... the shelves can only hold a maximum of 6 pounds so whatever you put on there better be pretty light! The IKEA light just like it is twice as much and has a cheap, white, plastic shade. This shade is a very pretty off-white linen fabric and I liked the fact that the frame came in many finishes. All in all for the price, this lamp is an excellent product!
