Engaging velcro fruit and vegetables for toddler

When I first bought the Battat Play Food for Toddlers with Farmers Market Basket and Chopping Boards, my son was interested in lining up the fruits and vegetables. It took him about a month to become interested in trying to cut the Velcro goods. Now, we cut the play food together or he entertains himself by cutting the fruits and vegetables, lining them up, then, putting them back together to start again.
I took a star off of durability and sturdiness because within a day of getting it, he had crushed the "stem" of the grapes by using it as a teether. So, beware, if your child is teething or a chewer, a couple of the pieces --like the banana and grapes -- have thinner points on them that may get crushed.
