I did not know how close the alarm and the sensor had to be. I was afraid they would have to be butting up against each other. I posted a picture with it to show that there really is some decent play. The alarm is nice and loud, as well as bring quite responsive.

The alarms do not have a bypass button so you can't open the doors or windows without completely turning them off. They also do not stick to the door jams. The alarms went off in the middle of the night because they fell off. I wasn't able to return these items, so I wasted hundreds of dollars on defective alarms.

there were no direction in english and I could not make it work right although they do work and do have different options to them. I ended u0p getting others from the dollar store that had directions.
