Fits nice
Check your bike carrier carefully before buying.

Very nice product, but they don't fit every carrier. You gotta have one that extends low. These bags are long and the bottom pannier straps need something to secure to so they don't bang around. I returned mine, but they're gonna be great if you're outfitted right to begin with.
Great bag, buckles not so much

First I'm happy about the purchase. Unfortunately the first time using it the buckle broke. Tried emailing roswheel and it got blocked for some reason? I don't want to return the item just want to get a replacement hopefully.
I wore it out in a year but so good I bought it again

I bought these panniers a year ago this month for a rad expand electric bike. I ride between 128 and 300 miles each week commuting to work, gravel biking, grocery runs, on road century rides, Forest service roads, and trails. All while carrying 32lbs of stuff in the panniers.. Basically these things got beat every single day while carrying heavy, sharp cargo. Bags were wrecked several times, and reworked with canvas to deal with holes my bike lock chain (which is a logging chain, not a normal one, i like my bike to not be stolen) put through them. This week, after a year of use, I bought a 2nd set of these to replace the current ones I like these budget panniers so much. For $40 you really can't get better. I will say the black color, rather than the green, seems to hold up better based on a friend who has the black, but I like green. Canvas is susceptible to sun damage and high temp on the green, riding with a rain cover over it would probably prolong life as well as not leaving it in your car in the summer all the time.. Second issue is canvas fails at seams with age, probably because straps aren't adjustable and thus the load is constantly shifting and straining the fabric as you ride. See photos of repairs. Bottom of panniers takes the most damage. I lost a $20 breaker bar through one hole that opened up during a ride (which is why I am buying a new pair)! NOTE: these are water resistant and even with the application of kiwi spray on water proofing (3coats) they are NOT waterproofable. Buy some stuff sack for that or a backpack rain cover (90L size at a minimum) In a light rain they stay mostly dry, in a downpour forgetabout it.
For the money, I certainly can't complain - Pros and Cons

So, there are so many more expensive options for bike panniers and as a daily bike commuter, I want something that will work well, hold up over time, and easily carries a decent supply of things in addition to my standard product (repair tools, lighting, spare tube, hat and gloves, rain gear). Beyond that stuff, I like knowing I can get whatever I need off my back in a pinch. these do this for me having been using it now for about two months. I'm sure there are more durable products out there, but I've learned from prior panniers not to over strain the zippers or stitch points and because this one is spacious enough, I haven't on these.
Here are a few CONS:
- The straps that attach the top pack to the side panniers work and can easily be detached, however, the straps do not adjust so when empty, the top pack kind of flaps around. I've not really had a major issue with it, but a design update would sure be nice so you can cinch down the top pack.
- the zippers do not feel very strong and are only one way zippers. Typically, I prefer to be able to adjust zipper placement so I can unzip from one side, the other, the middle, or anywhere in between to make it quicker and easier to get into and out of my set up. not possible with this one.
- I don't enjoy garish things, so although I've gotten used to it, I wasn't the hugest fan of the large "ROS" on the sides... makes me feel like it is a ROSS DRESS FOR LESS bag... it's not, but I never enjoy garish advertising on anything, especially something I have to ride daily.
- the attachments aren't as well engineered as my previous pack. Like I said above, I've not had any issues with how this attached or it staying on and it doesn't impede my biking at all, but it's worth noting, especially if you are needing to get these on and off quickly in any frequency.
The PROS:
- Riding strong in month two with no complaints and everything riding secure and sound.
- The top pack easily fits my larger than normal business note pad with various books I need for teaching and work and it is nice that I can keep those business items separate from other miscellaneous items in the side packs.
- It has handy side pockets and a top zippered, mesh back I can use for wet clothing and/or things I want to keep aired, which has come in handy a couple times.
- It's pretty darn spacious when all things are considered, and if you don't need the space, the top pack easily detaches. I had to bike to a huge pre-Thanksgiving dinner with friends so we could imbibe a few drinks and my two big dishes as well as a six pack of beer all fit just fine, the top pack ensuring things stayed upright with a few bungees, and even when everything was packed, I still had room to spare. That impressed me.
- The canvass is durable. If it comes apart, it'll be at the seems or zipper like how my last lower priced panniers came apart. It will not be the canvas that fails, it is plenty durable.
So, given these pros and cons, for the money, I'm way pleased with this pack. Time will tell if it is a "decades dependable do it all", or a "two year interim commuter pack"... either way, for the price, it was worth it to me. I guess I'll get that retro, leather, quick detach, "wow your friends" pannier once I win the lottery or retire... or when this one breaks! :)
