I guess it’s fine for practicing and hearing the blood pressure but not ...

Bought this to practice manual readings for nursing before I start clinicals. Firstly, the gauge couldn't be clipped anywhere convenient. There was a loop inside the cuff but that didn't make any sense to me. Tried using it on some of my family members to test it out and the gauge is completely inaccurate. It took a lot of pumps to get it going and the results were always higher than what it should be. I just had my blood pressure taken electronically and it was within normal range. After using this, apparently I have hypertension... This product also poses a danger to people as it gives inaccurate readings of being used in the medical setting for real data. I guess it's fine for practicing and hearing the blood pressure but not for actual data readings.
Clip seems backward...

I'm a home health RN who uses a BP cuff multiple times each day. I haven't been crazy about this one, for two reasons: 1) there is no convenient place to clip the sphygmomanometer to the cuff. Most cuffs I've used are designed to clip it to the top. This one is backwards and will only clip to the bottom. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I have played with it and can't make it work any other way. 2) it's coming apart after just a few months. Yes, I pull it out of my bag, use it, clean it and put it back in my bag multiple times daily, so maybe it's time the wear and tear begins to show. I've had it for several months.
Other than that, it works great and does what it's meant to do.
Good quality cuff

This cuff has a metal slide mechanism that requires threading the cuff through. I didn't see that on the description. Have used this style before and it is always easier to thread it first, then have your patient insert hand and arm into the closed circle, securing the cuff in place when you get it up past the elbow into the proper position. Not a big deal unless you take a lot of blood pressures. It just takes a little longer. I prefer placing the cuff over the artery, then wrapping. It's fast and easier to get into the correct placing. I probably would have picked a different model had I noticed this. But I don't take a ton of BP's anymore. So not worth the trouble to return. This cuff is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and easy to use (other than that one point). It's made with quality materials.
Excellent product and customer service !!!

The Paramed Professional Manual Blood Pressure Cuff I ordered worked but was received in less than new quality. The box appeared to have already been opened and the bags holding the items appeared to have been opened and it appears that this unit had been used and possibly returned. The rubbber tubing near the connection to the gauge was crimped over in the box and when closely inspecting the rubber tubing, has left an indentation that has weakened the outside of the tubing making it vulnerable to breakage / leaks. This can easily be fixed by just snipping off this small imperfection, however, for a new unit this is not acceptable. I let the company know of the above deficiencies and they quickly sent another unit that was received and in perfect order. I notified them of the problem just as an FYI for quality control, and told them a new unit was not needed for such a minor deficiency, however they sent one. One could not ask for better customer service.
Thank-you !!!!
Easy to use, seems well made

just bought an aneroid sphygmomanometer. I'm a retired cardiologist so I'm familiar with BP cuffs.
this one feels well made and sits securely on my arm. the gauge is easy to read and the valve is stable.
only suggestion is to consider someone who would want to take his own BP and figure a way to sit the gauge on a table
so it could be easily read. otherwise, nice product at a great price.
purchased through Amazon.
