My 6yr/o looks adorable in this, along with the matching boots. Everyone compliments her when she wears them. Patterns are starting to be a no-no for her as she's becoming aware of what is "cool" for her age, so the solid style in pink with the navy stripes inside was ideal. The fabric is high quality - I always go with Hatley for rain gear and they never disappoint. Hatley tends to have comfortable room for kids to grow - so you can order their typical size and it will last with some room if they have a growth spurt during the year.

Bought this rain coat for my 2 year old boy and it is fantastic. So many are only water resistant and don't last long before starting to soak through in the rain. He stays dry, even surprisingly dry where I roll the sleeves, since I purposely bought oversized for longer use. Not sure why this is marked as for girls except maybe that it could be dress length, but trenchcoat length is great for coverage from the rain. Color is as depicted. Son wears a size 4T in Carter's brand clothes (which are considered to run smaller than average). I ordered him that size shown in picture.

Are there less expensive kids' rainjackets and boots ? Absolutely. But I am SO happy I decided to spend the extra money . I was hoping for quality and I got it !

The color and accent color are gorgeous and perfect on her ( I got the pink and navy blue ).

To spare but we can still use it big for now . I think we may get 2 full years out of it !
The material is not platicky or sticky and the lining is a really nice terry cloth ! Which will be perfect in warmer rains when no one wants wet rubber on their skin !
She's already trying to wear it everywhere , and it's not raining !
Trust me when I say when she outgrow this , we will be buying this brand again !!

My daughter loves this jacket. It's a bit heavy for our climate (Australia) because it's lined with a terry cloth, so much thicker than I anticipated. We'll get less use out of it than expected. My preference would have been for a thin shell. It's larger than expected. My daughter is 88 cm tall and weighs 10.8 kg (a bean pole). She's grown out of her other size 3 clothes, but I need to roll up the sleeves on this one which is OK but I worry the sleeve lining will get wet and wick it's way up the sleeve. We haven't truly tested it yet because we're having a dry, warm autumn.

Very well made rain jacket, lined with a soft Terri cloth type material. I bought a Sz 5 for a very petite/skinny 5yr old and it is huge on her. I would recommend sizing down if you have a smaller child.
