Built very sturdily. Good grip so one feels secure on it. However, I don't find it very difficult, so I'm not sure how much benefit I'm really getting from it. Maybe if my office/desk area were not on a carpeted surface I'd feel differently.

DO NOT USE ON A FLOOR WITH OUT A RUG!!!! it will slip and go flying and you'll end on your butt. But I love this, since I have no balance and wanna build my core.
