Would be great if it didn't smell

I'm really disappointed because although the foam is nice and cushiony, and stuck well where I put it, it has a chemical odor that has not gone away after three weeks. I am considering just tossing it all in the trash due to the smell. I bought it because it said non-toxic but I don't see how that chemical smell is good around my baby. I bought a package of each color so i'm assuming they all smell like this.
Great on smooth surfaces.

We used this for our brick fireplace and it's decent but doesn't stick as well as we would like. I'm sure it works great on glass or wood but since brick is more textured it's harder for the tape to work.
