I would not buy again

I thought they would be more of a rachet style not just I tug on it and then have to wedge the rope in a slot. They did hold the weight I needed but these are expensive for just a couple chunks of plastic.
I like that there are no moving parts

Simple....effective.... not much more to say. I lifted a bike off the garage floor with ease. 2 pulleys. I like that there are no moving parts, just the sliding rope. I connected it to the lateral frame. I tried to connect to the center handle bar but there was too much twisting and the bike did not hang level. The bike has been hanging for a week and I can park my car underneath.
Buyer Beware

I have purchased many of these and this is the first and only one NOT MADE IN THE USA. This item is made in Vietnam. In defense of the listing, the text given does state "imported." However, if you initially choose the 1/4" size (as I did) the listing clearly states country of origin as USA. As I had also just placed into my cart several 1/4" size Tie Boss systems I thought the 3/8" would also be made in the USA - as are the 3/8" ones I already own. It was my oversight to not read more closely the text that appeared when choosing the 3/8" size from the button choices given on the 1/4" listing. The logo on this 3/8" system from Vietnam is not the same as the logo on the 3/8" ones I already own that are marked made in the USA. The packaging has the same company name and address for both the Vietnamese and the USA-made items. I see an etched date of 2014 on the side of the blue plastic housing - if that is a manufacture date then I have received old rope ... potentially already 3.5 years old. I no longer have faith in this product and can not risk a failure of the rope or the locking mechanism. I will not buy from this listing again, but will return to another on-line seller to purchase Tie Boss made in the US.
My husband LOVES it!

Got this for my husband, who works with boats and trailers and he LOVES it. He has used other such gadgets, yet brags about his superior tie boss to anyone who'll listen!
Love the Boss, will not use ratchet straps again!

The boss Pulley, either the 1/4" for light duty, or the 3/8" for heavier loads, can not be beat! I promise you will never use the old fashion ratchet straps again. The design is ingenious. Simple, but effective. So versatile, and QUICK! Not only is it way faster than the ratchets (I hated trying to figure out how to let more strap out, beginning the tightening every time you use them), but also can be used in places where the ratchet just cant be effectively used. For example, I use the Boss Pulley to secure my spraying tank to the back of my ATV. Due to the sharp angles to secure to the atv at the edge of the tank, a ratchet was all but impossible. With the boss pulley, tank is secured in less than 30 seconds. Ready to take the tank off, less than 10 seconds!
