A little clunky and dated with setup but once you get through that it performs very well. Recommend.

basic scanner easy to set up
Store it in your legal file cabinet!!!

Best thing about it is it stores standing up inside a legal size file cabinet; just place it in the row of paper folders as if it was another folder, and take it out when needed....great for decluttering the office. The software loading is a bit complex, but the guiding steps are ok to follow. Don't skip the calibrate step (as suggested in the instructions) because you will still have to do it later when you try to perform your first scan. I won't use the scanner much so speed is not an issue. Great to cut the cord to the troublesome inkjetter, and focus on sending files to my laser printer while using it as a copy machine...that was my goal, and this scanner does it well, not to mention the ability to resize legal docs to 8 x 11, and other cool features.

I love this scanner. It is thin and lightweight and barely takes up any space. Yet, it behaves beautifully like the bigger units.
I don't have to have my receipts and documents put onto a USB so I can transfer them to my computer. I even tested it's clarity by scanning a detailed road map and it came out perfect. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to transfer information from paper and/or books to their computer. It truly performs the way it claims to . Thank you, Plustek.
