NOT WATERPROOF.....Worked good the first day,after that it wasnt very bright and didnt stay on very long after dusk. I thought because I installed in the winter and with short days that it wasnt getting enough sunlight to recharge fully. I took the light down and reinstalled 2 weeks ago (April) and still didnt work right. I checked the batteries and 2 of the 3 were dead. I then replaced all 3 batteries with new freshly charged batteries. Noticed 4 of 6 tiny screws that hold battery covers were stripped . Reinstalled on flagpole and it rained heavilly for 2 days, light did not come on at all. Removed light and found it full of water!!! I took it apart and dried out interior, the solar panels are not sealed, the panel that came off was held on with one dab of hot glue or silicone. This light can not be weatherproof without sealing the panels with silicone. I don't know if this was just a defective item or if thats how they are all assembled. I sealed the unit up with silicone after soldering a wire that had corroded from the water intrusion,and it now works but will not shut off. The photocell circuitry must have been water damaged as most of the components inside were corroded. Bottom line is if all these units are manufactured without sealing the solar panels this flagpole light is useless for outdoor use.

Do not buy this product I live in Arizona how much more sun could my flag pole ask for. it is only 18 ft tall this light is rated 15 to 25 feet I have my light in the Sun from sunup to sundown at 90 degrees outside no trees in the way no shade whatsoever and the light will only last for about an hour and a half to two hours and then you can't even see my flag this is the second one I bought because I thought the first one was just a malfunction but now I understand that this product is a bad product

No, so far frustrating. I recieved this light with no plastic film on the solar panels and it looked like someone already took it off by tge plastic frays around the solar chips and everyone said turn it on well it was already in the on position. I also set it in the blasting sun all day long and the light is super super weak. Couldn't even seen your hand 10 inches away. Now how is this supposed to light flags. I am a great amazon purchaser for years now and this is really disappointing. I will try new rechargeable batteries and give it one more sunny day then I will return it if it does not correct this issue. But for now 0 rating if I could.

This is my third light and I assume it was just a bad one after reading all the good reviews. After one good bright night the light just glowed. You had to be right up on it to even tell the light was even on. Took it down and played with the switch, let it charge a few more days and all it would do is glow...sort of. Soooo, I'm just returning it.
Does not last, spend a bit more for better quality with better reviews(as I'm doing now !)

DO NOT BUY ! Clearly the product quality is hit & miss. Take a look at other reviews, I used them as the basis for my purchase figuring 1 or 2 bad reviews but overall positive I'd take a chance. Oops, don't think like me ! I placed it outside in the sun for a day to test it before going thru the effort of installing the new flagpole with this light on top. It came on, seemed ok but dim, figured it just needed more charging time which would happen once it was up on the flagpole. Silly Me. Assembled the new flagpole with the light on top and installed the pole with some help. The next 2 days were nice & sunny and it came on once it got dark out but it was dim & didn't stay lit more than an hour. 3rd night the sun came down and the light didn't even come on. It hasn't come back on since. I'm buying a different one, will take down the flagpole once I've received and tested it-for a week on the ground this time !
