but it was really easy to put together

I don't know much about Archery, but it was really easy to put together, seems to shoot really well (still getting used to the sight). The only problem was the arrow guide fell off pretty quickly (after like 5 shots). Other than that, it is a great bow for me being new to using one. From about 20 yards out, the arrows penetrate pretty deeply in the target.
Really enjoy this bow

Really enjoy this bow! Oddly enough the daybit arrived was also the day I burned my hand! So it was about a month or so before I even wanted to try it! But very pleased! Not many models come long/tall enough for a 6' 3" guy to comfortably use.
Good Quality

I'm not an expert, but I can tell if a bow is a piece of junk, and this bow is far from junk. It may not be the best bow, but I use it for my college archery class and for target shooting at home and it works great. It also feels great and the string, limbs, and riser are the same quality if not better than my colleges equipment. However the description says it comes with a bow stringer, mine did NOT come with one. Everything else was present and accounted for thought.
Good for the money.

First let me start off that I cant even being to understand how you hit yourself in the face while stringing this bow if you do it per the instructions. I dont even use the stringer anymore but that person failed themselves dont be afraid of the stringer. I bought the 30 lb draw tye bow is great, take my advice and invest in a good set of arrows with nice long feathered fletches it makes all the difference in the world. The bow is nicely constructed and has about 500 shots on it now working great. Included finger tab is actually really nice. Cons: 1) Included arrow rest is disposable dont even install it just buy a different one when you order the bow, read the other reviews they always break. 2) Camo arm guard is nice but tacky for a recurve you cant legally hunt with since the highest draw weight they sell is below the legal limit. Some brown/black leather would have been nice. 3) Brass threaded inserts arent glued in they pull out easily and need to be constantly pushed back in. Note: I am 6'1" and I pull this bow until my hand touches my cheek and the string is on my nose with 30 inch arrows with no issue not sure how big you have to be to pull it to 32" as advertised to get full draw but if you are smaller than me maybe consider buying a higher draw than you planned on to get full poundage at your actual draw length.
Check limb mounting and alignment.

Surprised to find that the finish was clearly inferior to the OMP bow I just had to return as they are virtually identical. The issue is the treatment of the red "lines" in the riser. On one side the line seem to be painted on and are bubbled up as if improperly applied. That's issue one. The other matter is that the upper limb was twisted such that the string would not track in the groove when the bow was drawn. That could be partly due to the fact that the limb receivers (where the limbs attach to the riser) were slightly out of alignment. Lastly, (so far) is that the front stabilizer bushing would not accept a standard stabilizer.
I corrected the above by: Ignoring the poor finish - correcting the twisted limb by using the standard methods of heat and reverse twisting - chased the bushing threading to allow for standard stabilizers. I'm waiting to see if with shooting the issue of the limb receivers becomes a deal breaker.
The good news is that the draw weight is correct. Returned the OMP bow as it weighed 4 lbs heavy. The accessories are quite good so far.
It is now a couple of weeks later. In attempting to tune the bow for maximim performance, I discovered that the tiller was wrong. the lower limb is to be slightly stronger that the top so as to compensate for where the bow hand is in relationship to the center of the bow. Well the lower limb was weaker producing a negative tiller which can make tuning less that optimal. I simply reversed the limbs -putting the one marked "lower" on top and the "upper" on the bottom. Problem solved. The tiller is now 1/8 inch positive.
In practice, tiller being reversed may not really affect a beginning or casual archer, but this is clearly a quality issue and should be noted.
