I installed this on a storage bin that I use to hold live bait. I keep the bin on my covered patio that's a few feet from a set of stairs that lead down to a saltwater marina. The spigot kit makes occasional water changes much easier since I just drain the old water through the spigot and an attached hose, down to the stairs. I use a bucket to to grab clean water from the marina. The spigot kit is made of PVC so I don't need to worry about it corroding with the salt water. I could have purchased a bulkhead fitting and ball valve separately but it wasn't much cheaper and the valves were very bulky and much more difficult to turn. You also need to make sure they fit with one another. The valve that comes with this spigot kit has just the right amount of resistance. I have been using it to a few weeks now and have had no leaks. One thing I wish was offered was a strainer of some sort so my bait fish won't get sucked out when draining.
