Mainly works as it is supposed to.
The main reason we bought it is to attach to our DJI Ronin gimbal for a focus button, thus avoiding having to reach down and half-press the shutter button on the camera itself every few seconds. Sometimes we just shoot in manual but sometimes we need the autofocus on to change focal length halfway through a shot.
The focus button on this ONLY works in the photo mode. In other words, it defeats the whole purpose of having it for us. Not thrilled at the moment.

Well, I probably would have liked this, if it worked. But it didn't, so I don't. I replaced my first one that was fully functional except for the Record button (the main reason I purchased it) and got a second one that had the exact same problem. I have 3 different compatible cameras and neither of them worked. Usually Fotga is a good low cost option, but in this case, I am nothing but disappointed.

I bought this remote control for my Sony FDR-53AX camcorder. It works reasonably well with the video mode but does not work with photo. It can turn camcorder on/off, start/stop video recording and do two-speed zoom in/out. One issue as pointed out by another reviewer about the zoom speeds for the FDR-AX33 model, the slow speed is a bit too slow but acceptable to me for very smooth zooming, while the high speed is too fast for most occasions so I rarely use it. It does most the job I want, and for the money, it is well worth it.

This is invaluable due to the awkward placement of the Video Record button on the a6000, one of it's few flaws. This well priced remote solves the problem extremely effectively.
