The product looks great but is made of PVC which is unstable and may leave permanent marks on some finishes. Test the product on your particular table top for a short period of time and then lift to see if it's leaving marks. This product performed poorly in my case and permanently marked the surface of my table due to the PVC it is made of.

I got this for my 9yo daughters desk in her room. She will sometimes take drinks to her room and with her old desk the condensation with cause bubbles in her wooden desk. She also would leave indents in the wood from writing too hard. For her new desk I had been making her use a clipboard to protect the wood underneath from damage but then she ended up getting marker on her desk, too. I bought this and cut it with scissors to fit her desk. We've had it a short time but it's already saved her new desk from being damaged at least 3 times.

This is an amazing crystal clear heavy weight protector. I put it over a new stainless steel cabinet/countertop we are trying to keep scratch free and it looks great. It is shiny, easy to clean and after only one day with weighted items in the corners, flattened out nicely.

I cut this tablecloth up to make a strip curtain door (like a warehouse/walk-in freezer door) for a dog house. The strip curtain kits online are around $100, this did the same thing for way less.
For its intended purpose, I think it would be fine. It comes in a roll though so it would require some work to flatten the corners and get it to lay right.
