We have a porcelain water cooler holder that we have had for about 15 years. The spout on it finally started wearing out and dripping so we bought this one as a replacement. I wish we had replaced it years ago because now the water comes out much faster. I also like that this is BPA free. I only wish we knew about BPA being in the original one or I would have replaced it years ago.

The shaft length is NOT 1-inch as listed in the product information. It's actually about 3/4-inch, which makes it too short for use with our ceramic water dispenser. Considering the thickness of the two washers, there is not enough length left on the threads to adequately tighten the nut, so it leaks and cannot be tightened sufficiently. The product information needs to be corrected to show the actual shaft length of 3/4-inch.
