Beautiful kit

This was a really fun kit to customize. I turned the upstairs into a tailor shop. The instructions were great and the seller provided a link to a video tutorial as well. I did reach out to the seller about a missing item, and they were very quick to respond and ship what I was missing.
took me 5 years to complete!!!

Got this miniature dollhouse for my niece as her Christmas gift when she was 10 years old. She was totally thrilled. We dived right in to build this house and cannot said how much we appreciate the level of details on each item that the kits has offered, but it was a lengthy process to build the dollhouse and it took us 5 years for us for the grant opening! Here is my take away list:
1. There is no missing piece in my kits
2. the kits came with 2 options to lit the led lights, switch-based, and voice activated. (I took the battery approach because I didn't really understood what it meant by void-activated controller until I saw the video today...)
3. The manual contains detailed English instruction for building each items
4. however, the paper templates for cutting out the card board, plastic film, and fabric are printed in mandarin only... you might want to goole translate the entire set of templates
5. I wish the manual come with some tips how to paste the wires properly. Due to my inexperience, I was not able to get all the lights turned on after I paste the wires done because when you open the front door, or flip the second floor up, these tiny-tiny wires are pulled and the connectors (which is sticker based) also shift and hence lights won't come up because of poor contact... After I completed the entire house, I have 3 desk lamps that are only turn-on if I pinch the wire junction parts.
6. I wish the card board/ plastic film could be perforated so that I don't need to spend hours just to cut each pieces according to the template
Disputes the process is tedious and laborious, the outcome is quite pleasing, onlyI wish all the lamps can be turned on....

be patient - take your time - Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was this Cafe...

a bit of an exaggeration with rome in the title - Rome might've been easier.. haha. seriously tho. i didn't get this off of amazon reseller - there are either one or two chinese manufacturer and a bunch of retail distributors for this same model. shop around amazon for the best price - i've seen this 61 USD to like 75 USD.
i got mine while i was in China for a visit and i brought it home - i didn't buy it off amazon - obviously it was cheaper in China. The instructions were in chinese (they might have translated the instructions into english for the Amazon Kits) - but you can glom off the pictures quite a bit - there were some parts that was not as clear - my wife reads chinese so there were like 3-4x i asked her. shoot me an message if you need a hand interpreting - i'll try my best.
aside from the pieces itself - which was organized into plastic ziplock bags - these bags are coded with letters of the alphabet. DO NOT take the pieces out from the bag - doing so would confuse you even more so - if you've ever built a model and the parts came in these plastic trees you know to keep it on the tree until the part is called for in the instructions. The tools it came with were screw driver, awl, ruler, tweezer, scissors.
this is a very big undertaking for those who had not built a model kit before. i have done a bunch of the monogram, revell, and i also have done a few gundams. that was nothing compared to this one even with all the painting for the monogram and revell model kits. i had picked up a smaller model kit (the one's in the plastic dome also with LED lights - the one with the eiffel tower) as practice. that took no time all compared to the french cafe. the good thing is you will not have to paint anything unless you want to change the color of something?
you need to be patient - you will not finish this in a day or even two days. i only worked on it on weekends when i had the chance - i started 12/25/18 and i got 99.8% of it done 3/25/19. i was slow. for this kit you have to make pretty much everything. just take it slow - make sure that you're using the right pieces by looking at the description and picture in the instruction and measure it with the included ruler. Again i cannot stress how you have to make EVERYTHING except for the tiny prop cups and pastries.
just do it one step and one day at a time - it's not a rush project. DO NOT LOSE FAITH. even if you put a few pieces together at night it will be worth it in the end if you do choose to build this cafe.
one more bit of advice is when you are running wires - test your connections to make sure you have properly extended the LED wires (they give you one very long electrical wire to extend the short LED wires) and they do indeed work. one thing is when you test it be sure not to touch the bare wire. i did that accidentally and it hurt my finger - i didn't get any burns but it definitely a stung. when in doubt ask an adult for help - maybe you're an adult like me so this is just a heads up. Also the long extra wires to extend the length of the LED lights - be sure to mark which one is black/gray and red/white - in the end you'll have to tie all those wires together and match the colors - on my model the battery module had black and red wires and the LED had grey and white wires. I attached the grey to the black wire and white wire to the red wire on the battery compartment. there is also a clap on clap off module - i also did the same thing grey on black and white on red - twisted them all together and taped it with duct tape.
Again i can't stress how much you should leave the pieces in their respected letter coded ziplock bags until they are called for in the instructions.
enjoy the build - i'd be happy to answer any questions
good luck and have fun!

cute, but impossible

I bought this thinking i would just have to glue the walls together, add on pre made pieces, and call it a day, but i was very wrong. THIS IS NOT A PROJECT FOR THE WEAK/LAZY. You have to literally sew the fabric for the chair cushions, and that's just the start of it. I love the concept but I do not know if this will ever be completed LOL.
