Overall, I was/am very impressed with this mattress cover. It fits our queen Tempurpedic mattress very well and was relatively easy to apply (like a pillowcase). The materials are soft and durable and laundered well. (Vendor/ manufacturer recommended washing before using). Zipper is durable and works well and the soft brushed cotton top is an important issue for me...preferring to use natural fabrics when possible. This cover is very similar to the one sold at the mattress store specifically for Tempurpedic mattresses but cost 75% less!! I was pleasantly surprised and am not easily impressed.

I got a mattress encasement at the recommendation of my allergy doctor. This cover fit over my huge mattress so that was the main thing! I can't say for sure if there has been an improvement in allergies -- that's hard to tell at this time of year (winter).

We just bought a new 12" memory foam mattress. I had a zippered mattress protector on our old traditional mattress. It greatly reatly reduced my allergy and asthma symptoms, except it was made for a deeper mattress. It would bunch up underneath the sheets after a few days. So for the new bed I paid attention to the depth. This fully encased protector not only fits the new mattress perfectly but the terry cloth top helps keep the sheets in place.
