It seems like we start our walking lives with Skechers and as we get older we go right back to them when we want a comfortable shoe. These are great for hiking and light duty work. They've kept my feet warm and dry all winter long.

Purchase these for my son who is 17. He has a wide foot and they fit very nicely. I was concerned he would not like them as the brand is not keen or something similar. Teenagers can be worried about brand recognition. But to my surprise, he actually likes them. He says they're light and they were comfortable right out of the box. we tried the other brands but they were very rigid and would take a bit of time to break in. I guess if you're tied to a brand-name, you wear uncomfortable shoe, but thank goodness my son gave him a chance and put them on his feet and realize they were very comfortable. As far as holding up, time will tell. but the price point is so affordable I'd rather have his feet comfortable then buying another brand that's twice the money and they hurt his feet. they were true to size, and like I said comfortable right out of the box.

As a brand, these are the best shoes I have ever worn. My experience with Sketchers is that they are durable and comfortable. After these arrived, I put them on and wore them all day. I did not want to take them off.

I'm old, have bone spurs and need special inserts for my shoes. I can only comfortably were one brand of sneakers. We are traveling to Iceland soon and I needed some hiking shoes. This is an important purchase for me and I needed to get it correct. I liked the X Wide size and ordered a pair. I removed the inserts and installed my Rx inserts. Instant comfort, I knew they would work. I saw a comment about the tongue being too thick, perhaps, at first it is but I think it will compress easily. Another comment about the lace length mentioned they were too short, they are too short. It's hard to pull on them with old arthritic hands, I ordered a longer pair but Skechers should provide longer laces so they can be double knotted. It's a great heavy duty shoe well built and comfortable with laces that are not up to the product standard. They weigh about 23 ounces, only 7 ounces heavier than my standard New Balance sneakers. Love them.

I really like the style and the height of the boot. I have bad ankles and these boots do a great job of protecting them. I'm a utility Line Locator, so use these for work. At this point I have no dislikes, let's see how long the laces last.
