First of all, they are honestly the best looking boot. I have seen on the market in a long time. So aesthetically they're perfect. The fit is like a glove. They are slightly larger than what I normally fit into as a size 11, but I like the fact that I'll have extra room for a larger soccer a thicker sock. There really is very little breaking in time because they're extremely soft and flexible. This is a great purchase as far as I'm concerned.

I have not been impressed with Solomon boots recently (2023). The quality has been suspect on almost every boot I've tried. But with these, my faith has finally been somewhat restored. These are by far the heaviest Salomon boot I've tried, but they are secure and comfortable after you break them in (but they do take a while to break in -- depending on how much hiking per week you do).

I have bought these boots twice now for my very hard working husband. He wears prescription orthodics for supination. These have such a great internal structure and heel width that his foot feels stable and he can work for hours in them. These definitely aren't just for hiking.
