I started the autoimmune protocol diet for RA and so my diet has a lot of restrictions and whey is not allowed. I wanted a protein powder that was free of additives. The taste is unpleasant and hard to disguise which isn't too surprising. It's bone broth, right? I'll continue to try different ingredients to blend with it to hide the natural taste. Added citrus ingredients (lime, lemon) seem to work the best. I don't have any problems mixing it with my Magic Bullet blender.
So glad I found this powder and It does taste like real bone broth.

I have a bad back and have had surgery in the past. I always have back pain. I know bone broth is one of the best things you can take everyday for back and joint problems. I've made homemade beef bone broth in the past with beef bones from the butcher. It's never had a great flavor and just kind of an oily weird flavor to it. This powder has the same oily taste of real bone broth. I always add garlic powder and other spices just to make it taste better. Im hoping this powder makes it easier for me to actually take it everyday. Homemade is probably better quality (more oily flavor too) but it doesn't stay good for very long so it's hard to keep making and taking it consistently like you should.
Hopefully I can give an update later saying my back is much better after this. It's pretty funny many people think unflavored bone broth won't taste like bone broth. If someone can make bone broth not taste like bone broth then it's probably not bone broth anymore! It's just got a funky taste because you're drinking bone marrow people! Just kill it with garlic and it's not bad.

I never write reviews even if I am promised a free product. I was not asked for this review and am not recieving anything for it. This review is out of pure gratitude.
I tore my achilles tendon a month ago and decided to not have surgery. I naturally went to Youtube University to maximize my chances of a full and speedy recovery and came acrooss bone broth as a big component for a regimine to do just that. I figured ok can't hurt so I searched up bone broth on Amazon and came across this product which seemed pretty decent going by the reviews. Decided to consume 2 servings a day every day plus Vit C and Zinc which were also mentioned everywhere regarding the same.
As for how well it does or doesn't mix as per some of the negative reviews, I took the difficulty in mixing it as a positive since collagen is gelatinous and sticky making any legitimate product have this property.
When I first ruptured my tendon I was hobbling around in a boot before I was able to get to my doctor and wound up throwing out an already bad back--the worst back pain I have ever had by a lot. For context, normally when I throw out my back it's months before I can feel anywhere near normal. Why am I telling you about my back? This is about your tendon isn't it? Nope, I have no idea if my tendon is heaing any faster or better because I am still in a cast. What I can tell you is that my back MAGICALLY got better within 5 days of using this product. I was in no way looking for help with my back, this was a purely surprise side effect. I have the least back pain I have had in about 2 years after having had the worst back pain in my life.
Let me restate that I rarely leave reviews, I felt compelled to write this in the hope that it could help someone else and I have done my job helping this company who have clearly made a product that is 100% legitimate and is exactly what is says it is.
EDIT:
Since so many people have found this review helpful, I want to give an update. I was able to get out of my boot almost a month early. I was walking 6-7 miles a day by 3 months post rupture which is WAY ahead of schedule. So yeah this stuff works ridiculously well! I also decided to test my theory that it was helping my back by not having it for a few weeks. Yup back went south fast. Went back to drinking it daily and yeah back felt bettter within a few days. Bonus---my hair and skin look better than ever. Do not hesitate buy it now.

Blends easily? It depends. Tastes good? It depends.

I was apprehensive about buying because the reviews were all over the board...it blends, it doesn't blend, it's clumpy, it mixes well, it tastes great, it tastes awful...here is the scoop.
I have recently developed an aversion to the smell of meat, and the taste. I needed something to make up for my lack of protein, and I didn't want to rely on sweet protein shake mixes. When you open the container, yes, it does smell a little like a meat product, but not enough to make me disgusted.
I initially tried it by boiling water and pour it over the powder to make a paste. I ended up with a clumpy mess. Then I tried taking that a putting it in a portable blender, which only has one speed, and made it frothy. I waited for the froth to dissipate, and tried it plain. EH. It was not bland, but had a slight "meat" taste, again not enough to disgust me, but I wasn't pleased.
I did a bit of research on what to do with plain beef broth to make it palatable, and mostly you add salt and other spices such as turmeric, ginger, etc.. The second attempt I boiled water, put a cup of it in my Vitamix, put in the broth powder, soy sauce and some hot sauce, blended very slowly, and "Voila" I had a palatable cup of broth that wasn't frothy. Winner. Now I have a way to consume the broth somewhat enjoyably. It's possible that I might not need to boil the water before putting it in the blender, but, I like to drink mine warm, so I am not going to try blending without the hot water.
It isn't quite as simple as "just add water" to get the broth, but it is definitely easier than making it from scratch. I realize that I am a bit more picky than most due to my recent aversion to meat, but I hope this helps someone who might be wondering about getting it.
