These are great. If you can't read or follow instructions, you'll be irritated, but actually they work quite simply once you get the idea. No sparking or humming mechanical noise like electromechanical timers and able to handle 15 amps to control my under-sink hot water heater to reduce electricity usage overnight and during the day when it's not used

Used mainly as a count down timer. Getting it set up was more difficult than one might imaging because the instructions are worded weirdly. But once the time and day are set, getting to the count down timer was easy enought.

I thought it was very easy to program. Pretty straight forward without even reading the directions. I used military time as not to worry about am and pm. Just remember that 00:00 is midnight. On one of my program times (that was going to be an empty slot with no time schedule) I accidentally changed it from --:-- to 00:00. Thought nothing of it since it said 00:00 but then the next morning I found my light was on. It had come back on at midnight because of the 00:00. I changed the empty program slot back to --:-- and now it is working great. I love the fact that it has 2 plug ins and they are 3 prong if needed. The manual button is nice to turn the light on or off earlier if needed and then goes right back to the program schedule.

We used these as our indoor Christmas light timers and they worked great. I needed one 3-prong plug and I wanted all my timers to be the same so I ordered 6 of these. I found the setup process fairly intuitive so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Pressing "UP" to start setting timing programs was odd, but less confusing after I saw it was used to cycle through the schedule and options. For a six button timer, it seems very versatile. I'm happy with the purchase.
