Lots to Love
JoShawnAugust 12, 2018
I am a right hand amputee. Been shooting a re-curve crossbow for 4 or 5 years.
I can say I love the dimensions of this bow. It is a little heavier but manageable. Balance is good.
Cocking is smooth. I transferred my old scope. Took 4 or 5 shots to put it dead on at 25 yards. It's definitely quieter.
Really love the vulcanized rubber sure keeps it from sliding around. The only thing I would change is the safety.
I liked the safety on my Excalibur. It was on the back so you could flip it off with your thump. And is was silent. This one is not silent, so it'll have to be off the entire time in the stand. Overall very happy with my upgrade.
Great Bow at a Great Price!

This was the second crossbow I have ever owned, and for $300, I don't think you can beat it. This thing is loaded with power! When you pull the trigger you get the feel of firing a rifle! I'll go over the pros and cons to keep this thesis organized:

Pros:

Balances well in the shooting position, and has little recoil and noise when you pull the trigger.
Fairly easy to assemble, although the instructions would have been clearer had they used good line illustrations instead of overexposed black and white photos.
The composite stock, aluminum parts, and overall manufacturing are in keeping with a lot of higher-end crossbows. The hard rubber portions of the bow also appear to be of good quality--not too hard or soft--with a comfy cheek rest.
The Realtree graphics are both clear and natural-looking, with the right balance of ebony parts for visual interest.
Fairly easy to cock, with a good anti-dry fire safety mechanism.

Cons:

Bolts are of low-end quality. In fact, one of them broke off inside my crossbow target after only 3 shots.
Scope is low end too. Focus lacks crispness, and accuracy is a guessing game, whether you are 10 yards away or 40.
Stirrup could be a little bigger, especially for a guy like me with an 11EE width foot. Plus, hunting boots tend to run wide.

Conclusion:

Definitely worth the money as a bow in and of itself. The "package" however, leaves a few things to be desired. Quiver is of decent quality, and is attachable from either side. However, I don't use bow quivers because they obviously increase the weight when you are shooting the bow. I prefer hip quivers, because you can carry more bolts, while you hold only the crossbow. Get yourself a good lighted crossbow scope, some decent bolts, and maybe a sling or carrying strap, and you'll have a great bow for hunting or target shooting!
Easy to sight in

Ive had this crossbow about 3 months now, only shot about 2 dozen bolts through it. Easy to sight in, its a tact driver. While i was cocking it last, the little black "J" shaped rubberized piece that holds the bolt in place snapped off. I called Centerpoint customer service and they shipped the part out right away. Easy fix, only 2 allen screw. The customer service for this was Great! My 6 and 8 year old were both able to shoot this now problem, I did have it setting on a picnic table. Hoping my son can seal the deal this fall here in Wisconsin with it. I havent had this crossbow long, but based on the Price point, ease of use, accuracy, and customer service I am very pleased with everything so far. Im giving it 4 stars and not 5 because the first one i received the left limb split the first time i cocked it back. Amazon was great, i shipped them back the first one with the split limb and they sent me a replacement. For $300 this is a great cross bow.
I love it !

Was worried about the quality of this item when I ordered it . But WOW this thing is well made super fast and super accurate . I have been shooting it at 80 yards max on targets and the grouping is unreal. I have harvested two deer with it this past season and shots where dead on spot . one was 40 yards and the other was 52 yards out . So I can say it has been field tested
Accurate, quiet and fast

All I can say is "WOW!" . But I'll say more for your information on this product.
It came in early by 2 days. It was easy to assemble and had everything you need. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have a 50 yard range by my house so setting the scope no hassle. it took 4 shots at 30 yards to set this thing dead on. In fact I shot different spots as not to center and ruin bolts. Drop compensation is right on at 50 yards. I use a clamp-in rest with a hydraulic trigger setup. Man is this thing accurate and hard hitting. I wasn't thinking and used a regular 12" thick block style target on my first shot and the bolt passed clean through and then some. I set up my 3-D target and at 30 yards the bolt stops right at the fletching. At 50 yards the bolt stops about 2" from the fletching. This thing is really quiet. I've had crossbows before but nothing I've used compares to this one. My friend uses a crossbow he spent almost $2k on this one is much quieter right out of the box. It's still loud enough that deer could hear it easily but for a crossbow..., it's really quiet. The weight is substantial but not bad. Really fast and flat shooting also. I love it, and even though I didn't get to use it much this year, because of hurricane Irma..., I'm looking forward to next archery season.
