With a possible "Perfect 10" given for the perfect product, this seller and this product get a "Perfect 20". Look at the picture once again and start to realize that this can be a unique four pole setup or 3 or 2, or I suppose possibly 1. My wife and I set this up in our garage a couple of days before we went to the beach using some of my weights on the bags. It was not confusing at all and just very interesting to see erected. I x-cut four tennis balls for the pole tops just to help the longevity of Lycra fabric if possibly needed. When we hit the beach, it took about six or seven leisurely minutes to spread it out, fill and tighten the sandbags and "pole" it. I knew the path the sun would travel and skewed the shade for that so throughout the day all I had to do was occasionally slide our 7'x7' beach blanket between the poles with no adjustments to them to give my wife her ideal setting. We had a 360 degree view and could have easily dropped a pole or two for more seclusion. Plenty of height for sitting in a standard chair if desired. The wind was about 6 MPH and this shade was solid. This weighs less than our single person UV protection tent that my wife used (used to use). Several people brought multiple umbrellas to concoct some sort of volume shade area that was still encumbered by poles and total shade positioning problems as the sun traveled on it's daily arc. The dollars expended for all of those contraptions were not much less than the price of our Suricata. Those contraptions delivered so much less efficiency and required so much more effort, I recalled the statement "buy the best and leave the headaches for the rest". My wife is in total bliss now. I'm a 69 year old architect/surfer, surfing since 1962. This product is smart and right. Buy it!!!
It took a bit to learn how best to put it up -- fill all four sand ...

We bought the sunshade as a trial having had a rigid pop-up sunshade which was 40+ pounds and actually broke while putting it away on a windy day. I have to say, the Red Suricata sunshade performed really really well. It took a bit to learn how best to put it up -- fill all four sand bags, adequately, then place the poles. One last trick is to shovel sand in front of the bags after making certain the poles are straight and the shade itself taught. My wife was skeptical that the sunshade would work: whether it would provide enough shade or withstand the Hilton Head constant breeze. She is now a believer as she was able to set it up by itself. Set up and take down is easy. The light weight is a huge plus. And, we have purchased a second sunshade for our full family beach trip back to Hilton Head.
This is a very good sunshade

My kids and I took this product to Santa Monica beach today (it is a really hot day here today) and it made our trip the best. Once its set up, which was fast simple & real easy to do, it stayed in place and provided shade all afternoon. The afternoon ocean breeze did not move our sunshade at all. Didn't think I was going to use this product much before purchasing, but from now on, we're taking it every time we go to the beach. Nothings better than having shade at the beach and this product does just that. Strongly recommend this product
The easiest & fastest setup!!!!

The easiest and fastest tent set up. I thought I'm going to regret the purchased but as soon as we set it up, my boys loved it. Highly recommend for a family of 4 or 5 that loves going to the beach. Regarding wind and pokes slippage.... not an issue as at all. I suggest, get a paracord, tie each corners and attached the cord to the pole. This will prevent slipoage. So far so good. I will update more photos about the paracord next time. Will purchase again, if needed.
Quick and Compact

Sun shade worked great on the beach, just make sure it is stretched very well before inserting the poles under the canopy. Had some issues with it when the wind came up, but that's when we discovered the part about not having the canopy stretched very well. Also, you can take two poles down at the end of the day and make it into more of a lean-to, which blocks the evening sun really well - as long as the wind isn't too bad and out of the west...
My kids put this thing up in like 5 minutes after seeing me do it once, so it is pretty easy to set up - which was pretty handy when a big thunderstorm blew in really fast one night.
Take down is even easier, and no one on the beach had a more compact shelter than we did - everyone else had one guy just to carry the shelter back to the room. I carried the shelter and my chair, all while dragging the cooler too.
Worth every penny, umbrella service was $35/day or $175/week where we were at - for a two person umbrella.
