First of all, I'd like to call out these people who are giving negative reviews because the bowls were smaller than they expected.
It's not the vendor's fault you don't know how to use a tape measure. The dimensions are clearly listed. Grab a ruler or tape measure, leasure out 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and see how big that is. It's not rocket science.
Anyway, these are perfect for what I needed. I needed some little dishes to put sauces in. For example I make a chili queso dip to eat with tortilla chips. My guests can grab some chips and then grab one of these bowls, fill it with queso then put it on their plate. Or, sometimes for parties I will serve cheese and olives etc and these are perfect for me to set out a few with different kinds of olives or cheese.
I'd also like to mention that they came extremely well packaged.

LOVE the design, size, and overall function and appeal of this beautiful porcelain bowl. It fits the right amount of food, and it appreciate that it is oven safe, since I do not own a microwave and prefer to slowly warm up leftovers or keep cooked foods warm in the oven. Also, the white color is not too dull, but not bright white, which I appreciate because it has allowed me to match these bowls with other white porcelain dishes I own from different manufacturers.

These look even better than pictured. Flawless and very glossy. For the price, I don't think I would've found a better deal. I used them for serving dipping sauces, and my guests loved them. Looks classy and clean. Be careful when washing them, they can get super slippery!
