Almost perfect

Great addition to my gig rig. I use it live and the only other pedal I need is my overdrive (I would trade the "dirty Q" spot for an actual overdrive, but I still love this little thing)
Versatile Pedal/DI Box on a Budget

Very impressed by the Dapper Bass! I was initially looking for a bass driver pedal that had an XLR out in case I couldn't bring my bass amp to a show. After some shopping around and talking to other bassists, the idea of a fly rig sounded very appealing, but most fly rigs were way outside my budget.
I was initially skeptical of this because I had never heard of the Valeton brand, but I decided to take the plunge after reading some positive reviews and it did not disappoint. The stars of the show are definitely the Bass Amp, Comp/Boost, and Chorus sections.
The amp simulator sounds great and can get quite dirty with the gain past noon/1 o'clock (a tad low on volume if the gain isn't turned up to at least 9 o'clock though). The compressor/boost circuit works fine and really helps beef up the amp simulator's volume and clarity. It gets a little clicky if the comp is turned up too high, so I recommend keeping it at or below noon. The chorus sounds great and adds a lot of depth and lushness to your bass signal, but a rate knob would be nice.
The Dirty Q is a nice touch (very reminiscent of the EHX Bass-Balls pedal) and can be fun to use, but I haven't had the opportunity to mess with it outside of my practice space or some funky solos. The octave section may be my only real gripe. I wish that it had one octave down and one octave up instead of two octaves down. It gets very glitchy on anything below a low C, so keep that in mind. On high notes, it does have a nice synth-y tone though.
Overall, I'd have to recommend this pedal. Very fun and useful, and it's the best fly rig I've seen at this price point.

I don't typically buy all-in-one guitar pedals but I was curious on how this bass pedal was going to sound. My initial thoughts was getting a tuner pedal for my bass. Then I wanted an octave pedal. The brand name octave pedal are pricy. This pedal has a built-in preamp which will allow you to connect directly to PA system and avoid a bass amp completely. As everyone know, you are your own roadie. Aside from Octave, this pedal has a Chorus effect which is perfect for the 80s songs. Bass Amp will simulate a normal bass amplifier with low, mid, high settings. Dirty Q is pretty cool too. Boost is extra nice and of course Tuner.
If you are beginner like I am, this pedal is great for the price.
