I had high hopes for these meat sticks. Venison is usually a lean meat and while it says it's sea salt flavored, I was expecting it to be done... Tastefully. When you look at the meatstick you can see pockets of grease all over it. While you eat it (even when I tried wiping off the grease), the tongue and mouth gets coated in grease. Then I was just incredibly thirsty after eating it from the salt.
Venison has a good flavor to it. The salt has been used so liberally on these that the flavor is drowned out. Very disappointed.

Beef stick that isn't gross! Score. It still has flavor too. I've tried a lot of the new 'sticks' that are out there and Epic is my favorite. They're not trying too hard with this one; just grass fed beef. No Sriracha, apricot essence, etc. Just beef. It's not a weird consistency or dry at any point either. Great for snacking.

I have loved meat jerky since I was a kid and this is the first time that I tried a fish jerky. WOW! It's much softer than the meat products and the flavor is awesome. Just enough salmon flavor without being over fishy.
Honestly I think that I could eat a dozen in one sitting but I limit it to one a day. If you like salmon but hate the over fishy aromas then you will love it. The maple flavor is not overpowering either. Just enough to enhance the salmon but you don't feel like your drinking maple syrup .

really good quality salmon strips. I've tried them right out of the wrapper and they are tasty enough just as they are; mixed in a salad or cooked in with Udon noddle they really add a bit of spark to a dish.
