This pickup worked fine with my acoustic guitar. It's easy to install and it can fit any acoustic or classical guitar.
I only realized it was supposed to be used with a preamp when I tried it on; maybe this should better get included in the item descriptions in case other newbies need it.
The AUX cable that came along in the package was not good. I changed a better one and the background buzzing sound disappeared.
