I was surprised by the handling of the wood that i saw in this case. Many hardwoods are allowed to over dry by the supplier. in this case, the wood scales were covered in wax on both ends to minimize the shrinkage and over drying of the end product. Many suppliers would not support the extra cost of doing this. Thank you Texas Knifemakers Supply. Beautiful scales, and excellent results can be had when excellent parts are used.
