Excellent product for beards!!

I've had this brush for less than a week. I'd never considered using a straightening brush on my beard, but after seeing this product reviewed and recommended on a YouTube site for beards I thought I would give it a try. I'm amazed at how well it works in straightening my wavy beard, giving it a bit more length. By using it along with beard products, my beard looks more groomed and is definitely softer. So far I'm very happy with this product.

I've had this brush for exactly a week today, but when I went to use it this morning I heard something rattling around inside it. The ionic feature and heat still work but I'm afraid to use it because I don't know what's going on inside. I don't want it to blow up or catch fire. After my shower this evening I noticed that the brush is coming apart. I'm taking away two stars for that. I'm returning it.

The seller contacted me regarding my first update and wanted to make things right. She offered to replace the defective product with a new replacement which she did quickly. I tried it and it works very well. I've added the two stars back from my first update. Once again, I am very happy with this product.

What a powerful and easiest to use hair straightener I've ever owned. I really love this thing because it makes my life so much easier because of my mild curly hair. With this straightener, it takes me no time like before to get the job done. It fits in the palm of my hand and very comfortable handling this little thing. It heats up super-fast and the LED helps a lot with the reading. What I love about it is the safety measures it provided. The back of the comb isn't hot while in operation. This is a really good protection from being burnt. It is my daily use so safety is the number one on the list when I purchase this kind of straightener. The cable is also twirl along the movement while being used. This is a great product and it is my daily driver.

I bought this brush mostly to use to tame my beard, which isn't at ZZ Top length. I'd wager this brush was designed more for hair (on which it does a pretty good job, not quite as good as a flat-iron straightener), so for use around the face, it's a bit unwieldy and bulky. With patience though, it'll get the job done pretty well.
I do like its safety features. From the power button requiring a long press to turn on to the swiveling power cord, it's a well-designed brush. I also like that it has different temperature levels for the heating elements, which are well-positioned within the "bristles" (they're not actual bristles, but you get my meaning) of the brush, ensuring even heat dispersement.
Speaking of, the heating elements do not extend all the way to the tips of the bristles, but the tips can still get pretty hot. It's worth users being aware that they will definitely feel the heat on their scalp or face while using the brush, especially using the higher temperatures, so take particular care in not leaving the brush in one spot on the scalp or face for more than a brief moment. It's a brush, after all, so it's meant to move *through* the hair, not be held in one spot.
I don't know how big a difference the ionizer function makes. I haven't ever used the brush without it, figuring that it's worth turning on the extra switch to tame any frizzy bits.
In general, the brush does a good job. I only gave it four stars as, again, I primarily purchased it to tame my beard, and it's just a bit too oversized for that job. However, for the price, and especially compared to a particular $100 brush on the market, it's got really good features and seems like it does a better job than the more expensive brush because of how it's designed.

Worked ok as a beard straightener

I bought this to straighten my wonky beard. It did fairly well, even though it wasn't specifically designed for beards. The teeth were a bit long and the profile is curved instead of straight. Still, it lasted a little over 3 years (used daily for at least 1 1/2 of those years while growing my beard out long). Yesterday it was working fine and today it just didn't turn on. It served me well, but I'll be replacing it with something just for beards :)

I have been seeing YouTube videos of guys using these heated brushes for beards. Figured I would give this one a try due to the ionic feature and swivel.
My beard is naturally curly and a mess when I wake up or get out of the shower. Usually, I am perfectly content using my wife's blow dryer and a comb to get my beard straight. The "before" picture is straight out if the shower with a towel dry. If I don't do anything, it will dry poofed out and look a mess. The "after" pic is after just a few minutes using only this brush and beard oil. I am super impressed how easy this is to use compared to drying out my beard with a blow dryer. Beard is nice and soft, straight, and looks great! All without firing up the blow dryer early in the morning and making a ruckus.
Steps I took:
1) Heat to 410
2) Dry beard with a towel very well
3) Applied a very light coat of beard oil (already had just used beard conditioner in the shower)
4) Slowly brush from top to bottom and repeat until desired straightness is reached
5) Apply a good amount of oil/balm and brush through with a normal brush (or boar bristle)
I did get some of my beard product burning a bit, but it wasn't too bad. I was too wary to try the highest setting (450) because of that.
If you are looking for the BEST beard oil on Amazon, look no further than Bossman Jelly Beard Oil. I've been using it for a couple days and it is better than dozens of other oils I have tried. Affordable too!
I highly recommend this brush with that beard oil. You can thank me later!
