Works perfectly on a standard desk phone (in this case Alcatel office phones) with a basic PC headset with separate audio/mic jacks. Have old ass phones and people just wanted a headset. Didn't feel like spending over $100 for the Plantronics/Jabra etc headsets. If this is what you're looking to do, it's well worth it.
Do not buy. The mic short circuits the headset when plugged into a RJ9.

Headphone worked until I plugged in the microphone and it shorted out the headset.

Microphone input does not work

Have a 9608 Avaya desk phone. Could not get microphone input to work. I received headset playback, but no one could hear me with my headset plugged in.
