At first I didn't think this quite fit my AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR. But after reading another reviewer say that it took a bit more effort to lock into place then one might think, I tried it again and indeed, it snapped firmly into place. Nice. Seems tough and well made and a real bargain over the Nikon branded hood. Thumbs up!
Not the right fit, waste of money

Don't waste your money on this, buy the original instead. It doesn't fit my Nikon 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G properly, it's very shaky. It fell off instantly.

Returned and purchased the Nikon brand item. This didn't actually fit properly, would not click into place like the Nikon version. Spend the extra money and get the Nikon version, you won't be disappointed.
