This unit gives very clear rearview image. The installation is easy once I figureed out that one of the 2 diagrams is for wireless installation. The only thing is that camera has a narrow 130degree of coverage and it would give a better view if it covered 170 degree view. That is why I give it an average 3-star rating.
Makes parking easy!

Ordered this camera for my Honda Odyssey, which can be a pain to park on tight city streets, especially at night. Camera quality is good, you can clearly read the license plate of the vehicle behind you, even at night. The included screen is very good, I personally affixed mine to the top of my CB radio with the included adhesive so it is easily visible. Have had it installed for a few weeks with no issues, would definitely recommend to a friend.
I like them all

I have 2 of these camera kits, and another one from the same company that is the "wireless" version that goes to a screen in a rear-view mirror. I like them all, and I truly believe they are worth the cost. They are not expensive. Notice that I didn't say the were cheap. Cheap, to me, implies poor quality. (the wireless one is actually a bit more "finicky", and may flicker for a few seconds once in reverse, and has picked up other wireless signals randomly, but I still like it and think it works well) I've postponed my review so that I've had time to actually use it and evaluate it. So far, there has been nothing to complain about with the function or operation. I've added some pictures and a short video for you to view. Before I break down the review into Pros and Cons, let me give you my overall feedback: I've driven cars and trucks without cameras for A LONG time. I've not backed into anything or anyone. So why get the camera? Because it COULD make a huge difference. Take a look at the night time photos i took of a child's trike behind my van. There is NO WAY I would have seen that without the camera. So, this works great, and I like it.
Pros:
Works great at night time! You can really see almost as if it were day time.
Good display
Does what it is supposed to
Mostly easy to install (mostly - see "Cons" below)
Inexpensive
Has held up great, so far so good.
Has a distance gauge - This I found to work ok, but it is a little odd, the lines don't move on the screen, so if the camera is pointed more "up", then they don't align/work well... need to have the camera pointing at the correct angle. I suggest experimenting and adjusting until it is where you like it.
Clear video
Cons:
Some of the wires included are VERY thin. I think it would be much better if they provided a larger gauge wire.
The wiring of this is a little odd (at least the way my brain works). I'm an experienced Electronics Technician, and work with stuff like this all the time. The yellow video VGA style plug has a red "flier" wire on both sides. I assumed that these were electrically connected, but they are not. The instructions have you connect this flier wire to your reverse light signal wire. So, you are supposed to connect one end near your reverse lights/licence plate, and the other end you are supposed to tie into the same signal wire, but up by your dashboard. Why not just connect once, back by your reverse lights where it is easier (usually) to get to and run that signal along or inside the VGA wire that has to go up there anyway? Well, that is what I did... I ran some extra wire from the "flier" wire in the back of my vehicle all the way up to the front where it gets plugged into the monitor, and actually used this to tie into both the opposite end "flier" wire as well as the power to the monitor. Maybe i'll draw up a schematic and attach it here later, but it made a lot more sense to me to do it that way, and I did, and it works great.
So there you have it. Simple, easy, inexpensive, functional. What more do you need?
